Gamers are passionate about their hobby. It has been that way for decades.
So in the eyes of Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling, this feud between Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 is nothing new. Two big games going at it for fan supremacy…that isn't a new phenomenon, ya know. The bottom line is that you just aren't going to shake Bowling .
"Every game has its passionate userbase…we see it from everybody," Bowling said. In other words, it's hardly a rarity. And when asked if the BF3 fans ever got under his skin, he simply replied- "I wouldn't say it's annoying. It's what it is. It's what games have been forever." They couldn't even get a rise out of him when they mentioned the recent "moderwarfare3.com" unpleasantness . Bowling just repeated- "They are passionate."
Yeah, well, that's all nice and classy and everything. But it's no good for headlines. Where's the mud-slinging? C'mon, someone has to have something nasty to say about the competition. 'sigh'
