Man, if this doesn't bring back memories of the days of Tekken Tag Tournament and the shiny new PS2…
You've already heard about the Blu-Ray Tekken Hybrid package, which consists of a high-definition upgrade of the aforementioned TTT and the very slick CG movie, "Tekken: Blood Vengeance." But there's something else:
Producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed at Comic-Con (as reported by Blu-Ray.com ) that a playable demo of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be featured on the Tekken Hybrid disc as well. It's the Prologue to the sequel, and you can check out some gameplay in the trailer below. We see Xiaoyu and Alisa, both of whom will be playable in the demo. We know Tekken Hybrid will be available in November but no further details exist for the Tekken Tag Tournament sequel.
I was never into fighters but there was always something about Tekken …I never minded watching tournaments amongst my friends.
Fantastic game, will be great to play with Jin and his original moves again.
He went all karate in T4.
I wouldn't call it karate. Didn't the story have him forsake his Mishima style and invent a fighting style of his own in T4?
Nope, he forsook his Mishima fighting style and learned traditional karate. He did not invent his own style.

Well he certainly doesn't move like the Karate Kid does =p
Eagle kick huuuuWaaaa!
Please do not tell me they are making Alisa a main character for the Tekken movie… If that's the case they might aswell quit now. Everyone knows the Mishima family is the mian focus of the Tekken Saga.
As for a HD version of Tekken Tag, That I can get excited for as its one of the only PS2 games which is not backwards compatible and it it was made before T5 brought juggling into the game. The tombstone of the Tekken series.
The movie DOES focus on the Mishima family. But since there are no real "heroes" in that family, the movie needs a couple likable "good guys," hence Alisa and Xioayu and their Nancy Drew-esque investigating.

But Alisa, Come on! she's just a gimmick, they could have picked far mor interesting characters, Hwoarang for example would be a far better choice, due to his rivarly with Jin. This seroes has just bombed since T5 and it really hurts to see it go to waste.
If you want a prime example of what Tekken should be like watch the Tekken 2 introduction clip. Tekken used to be partially realistic/fantasy, it had a few fantasy elements but it was not to overpowering, unlike these days it looks more like an anime… disasterous…
Alisa is my new favorite character. I love her. 🙁

i want ogre…
Ogre was pretty cool. 😀
Me too. Ogre is one of my top 3 favourite Tekken fighters.
Has there been any word on whether TTT HD has online play or not? That'll be my early buy deciding factor.
Is anyone going to see the movie tomorrow? I'd love to know if it's any good.
-Arvis
I guess that comfirms a PS3 verison of Tekken Tag 2
Considering that every core rendition of Tekken has made it's way to the Playstation over the last 15 years, was there ever any doubt?
Well Tekken 6 was on the 360 which just seemed immoral, with Tekkens recent track record I would not be suprised if it jumped consoles…OH WAIT TEKKEN WII U!…f***
@Temjin001
No one thought Tekken 6 would go to the 360…yet it did, despite it's near "PlayStation-only" history. Anything could happen
Ultima you also forgot tekken 3DS.
Only On Playstation 3 🙂
TTT is still my favourite Tekken game. The original trilogy was brilliant but TTT was the masterpiece. After that, the series went majorly downhill. I haven't enjoyed a Tekken since the release of TTT. I'm hoping the sequel goes back to basics. This'll be a Day 1 buy for me. Oh, and the CGI movie looks sweet, too! 🙂
It did go downhill when Tekken 4 came out, but Tekken 5 and 6 were both excellent. I don't know what you're talking about.
Just so you tekken fans know, this is AWESOME!!!!! Why?
Because DEVIL Kazuya is going to be in this demo. Playable or not, Devil Kazuya is one of the most requested characters to bring back, and now he finally is!
Whats more is that He won't be in the arcade, he will only be in this demo, and most definitely the console version, and Harada has said they will put more characters on the console! So maybe kunimitsu has a chance!
I feel like Tekken is really coming back, this is going to be a great game!
No copy of the Tekken movie? heh
Lol would we really want that?
Sure, could be good for a game of ultimate frisbee
I like the anime tekken movie.
I think Asuka could be a good lead.
I've been playing Tekken since I was 8 and the games are just incredible. Just now won Tekken 5 on "Ultra Hard" mode. Aaaaah so brutal. This will be great!
I'm not that interested in Blood Vengeance but I'll probably enjoy it for the same reason I enjoyed Advent Children (Bizarre Japanese storytelling that makes no sense and bizarre Japanese midair combat that is awesome).
Even though I suck at tekken, this is a D1 purchase.
I plan on seeing the exclusive cinema viewing in Sydney for Tekken Blood Vengeance because so far it is looking nothing short of stunning imo. I just hope every important character atleast get's some screen time. That CG is too sexy not to show off all the great characters with it.
Tekken Hybrid was already a must buy for me, & now that there is a TTT2 demo bundled with it. I am more than sold.
This is my most wanted game right now without a doubt. The absolute icing on the muffin would be adding Kunimitsu, Michelle, Angel (likely now Devil is officially in) & Unknown, that underated boss from TTT.
I need this game.
I wasn't aware of this Tekken Hybrid release until now. Looks really good, and I'm definitely planning on picking it up.
