The combination of House of the Dead and a corny b-movie atmosphere makes perfect sense.

Toss PlayStation Move into the equation and you've got a classic arcade shooter at home. House of the Dead: OVERKILL was announced a little while back, but now the PlayStation 3 benefits have been detailed at the PlayStation Blog .

The Extended Cut will boast 3D and Move functionality and remember, this is the first time a House of the Dead title has arrived on a high-def console. There's also a list of all the features that will be exclusive to to the PS3 game; here's some of 'em:

House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut will release exclusively on the PS3 in North America on October 25. Now, just because that happens to be the same day as Battlefield 3 doesn't mean anything…I mean, we're talking about two totally different types of shooters. Besides, something like House of the Dead with Move might actually be fun .

I need some games for my Move and this one is only going to be $39.99 on the release day, so I'll pick it up. Plus, it looks fun and is loaded with cool features.

This game was a lot of fun on the Wii, especially co-op with a buddy.

Anyone who's into the Grindhouse movie atmosphere will probably really enjoy this.

I still have this for the wii. This game must've set a record for most f bombs dropped. But I'm picking up for sure. Got to up my zombie killing skills for when the zombie apocalypse comes.

Actually it did, it was in the Guinness book of world records for the most swearing in a video game ever. It used the F word 189 times, which averaged out to once per minute for dialogue. Regardless, the game was fun to play.

is this a remake of the game that set a record for the most F bombs in a game on the wii a few years back or is this a new game ?

Still not enough reasons to buy a Move for me, all this does is make me angry that my light gun doesn't work with modern TVs.

Personally I use to love this game at the arcade. Probably one of the games I dumped the most quarters into next to Cruisin' USA. And being able to dust off the Move would be nice. It was a great birthday present, there just needs to be more games for it and this looks like I may have to pick it up.
