Catherine Art Book: 160 Pages Of The Sexy And Horrific

Love it or hate it, the artistry and imagination behind Atlus' Catherine is impressive.

And if you're a fan of that creative style, you'll probably want to try the game, which releases on July 26. After that, maybe you'll want to pick up the 160-page art book, which will be available on August 10…in Japan. As noted by Andriasang , ASCII will produce the Venus Mode: Catherine Visual & Scenario Collection art book. It's a full-size A4 book with 160 color pages; the content is split up into five chapters: Visual, Theater, Cast, Nightmare and Concept. This is your chance to see some early art sketches along with never-before-seen images and drawings, straight from the inspired pencil of the Atlus artists. If you can read Japanese, feel free to visit the official site .

You don't need to know Japanese to see the pretty pictures, though. And here's hoping the game is captivating on a number of different levels.

Damn. I've already tried to avoid buying NA version because I need more money for more games, but this one is kinda tempting.

Well at least the Japanese are not shy about their sexuality, I'll give'em that.
I think I'm starting to understand why some of you are so… passionate about your Japanese games. 😀

LOL! Living in the new puritanical US where sexiness of any kind is tantamount to murder, it is a refreshing attitude.

@Beamboom

Well to be more accurate, Japanese society is actually often (but not always) outwardly conservative. But on the inside, like in the world of popular culture and the like, it's often a different story. As you can probably see here.
