If you recall, Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was one of the best PS2 games of the generation.
Ever since then, Ratchet & Clank has taken over the action/platformer crown, much to the delight of a great many fans. Furthermore, Naughty Dog has gone on to do some pretty amazing things…like, say, that amazing Uncharted franchise.
But if you're pining for a Jak & Daxter return, don't give up hope just yet. In speaking to Eurogamer , Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells says the team still loves the dynamic duo in question, and wouldn't mind revisiting the pair in the future:
"What I hear a lot recently [from fans] is to make another Jak & Daxter game. My answer always is we’d love to do it, there’s a lot of love for the franchise and it has a special place in our hearts for sure, but we’re sort of heads down, working on one game at a time now and are focusing on Uncharted, but we’d love to go back to it at some point."
Obviously, we'd like them to remain firmly focused on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception but the idea of a Jak and Daxter reunion piques our interest. Sure, Daxter struck out on his own on the PSP, and we've seen Jak pop up here and there, too, but it just isn't the same. Maybe after U3 is done, Naughty Dog can give the fans what they want…
