When October rolls around, there will once again be a ton of great titles hitting store shelves.

Unless you have a larger cash flow than most, you'll have to prioritize. The difficult question, "Which ones do I get, and which games will have to wait?" must be answered somehow. Well, if you've already resolved to purchase Batman: Arkham City , this new gameplay video will vindicate your decision. If you had the game on your "wait" list, well…sorry.

We get to see Catwoman before Batman, and we're loving the combat for both; Catwoman is crazy fast and agile, while the Caped Crusader is just as powerful and effective as ever. There's just so much to love about Arkham City ; have you already forgotten the greatness of Arkham Asylum ?

Holy crap, that was amazing!!!

This just went from "wait for price drop" to D1P for me!!! Was gonna move the 10 bucks I had on it towards my ICO / SotC preorder, but I'm sure that extra $10 won't hurt.

This and Battlefield 3 were all I planned on getting in October. RAGE might end up being the one I wait for in terms of price drop. Am limiting myself to 2 games per month now that I'm saving my hard-earned money.

Plus, with nothing much til September, I got plenty of time to catch up on my massive backlog.

Steam sale is on. Just grabbed the id software pack for 30 bucks, with all Doom's, Quake's, Hexen's, Commander Keen and Wolfenstein goodness. Picked up DMC 4 and Just Cause 2 cheap too.

Screw EB, 30 bucks for a preowned game when Steam has it for $5? Guess where my money is going.

I'm checking the daily deals that are going on each day, but so far I already own all most of those lol. I'll wait until the final day of the sale before I stock up on the few missing titles I have. I don't want to get burned by a future daily deal of a title I just bought a day or two beforehand. Steam has the best sales anywhere, and the Christmas sales are even better then what they are doing right now.

That was a great looking video. Deffo getting this on Day 1 now.

Just out of interest did anyone else notice it was an Xbox demo video ? Probably as the Xbox is the lead platform for most games unless it's a PS3 exclusive.

I watched this video yesterday and it amazed me. It looks so good and became my new most anticipated game. I'm looking forward to it.

See this is one of those multiplatforms that even PS3 exclusives outside of Uncharted can't touch. Batman Arkylm Asylum was awesome, this should be no different.

Oh wow that was surprisingly good! The game itself looks a lot better than Asylum ever was, and details like how his cape swings… Excellent.

Batman games are the in the few multi-platform titles that look exactly the same on both systems, there is no noticeable difference between the two console versions.

Yea, great mutliplat but the PS3 version had some screen tearing. Anyone know if the 360 version had any? I didn't see any in this video. Maybe they fixed it for this installment?

I didn't experience any screen tearing and I have both 360 & PS3 versions.

I wonder how difficult the challenges will be this time. I really had a hard time with some of the first ones. Still getting this day 1 though

Well I am very impressed. The graphics look very good; the multi platform engine seems to be the business on the this title… and would really like Cat Women as my girl friend… I guess I can only dream about that.

Yes, this is one for the collection once my main titles are purchased for the year. I few months after release for me I think…

I had resolved to get the next Batman game after AA and I'm glad rocksteady hasn't dropped the ball, like they would anyway. Going out tomorrow to put money down on this and Dark Souls.

starting to get a little worried about this.
they have not been showing off much of the gameplay, and wheres the detective work?
the dark night is the greatest detective to ever walk the face of the earth!
the biggest complaint everyone had with arkham asylum is exactly that, the detective work, the simplicity, and lack of it.
so you would think they would come flying out of the gates with massively improved detective work…….. but you would think wrong!
come on rocksteady, batman is not all about kicking a$$!
hes also about solving puzzles, and tracking down criminals.
so why have all the trailers focused on only one of those things?
this is batman, not the hulk!
if i want to go beating guys up ill go play a fighting game, i play batman games for the gadgets, stealth and puzzles.
so where are they?

I don't think you should get your hopes too high regarding the detective work. I know they've talked about that but this will still be an action game – but a good one!

These two renderings of Batman have gone a LONG way toward lending credibility to the Bat after taking a beating in respect since the 60s! THIS is the way Batman SHOULD be portrayed!
