Rocksteady Studios hasn't been shy about sharing new details on Batman: Arkham City , so we know a lot about it.

We've heard all about the characters, from The Joker to Catwoman to Two Face to The Riddler and more, and we've learned about much of the style, setting, and gameplay.

But the team isn't about to tell all just yet, and reminds us that there were some surprises in Arkham Asylum . According to what UK studio boss Sefton Hill told CVG , most of what we've seen is featured in the "first one or two hours of the game." But that's it. And with a campaign that will take at least 10 hours (with 40 total hours of content jammed in, if you wish to partake), that means there's plenty left to reveal. But not yet… Said Hill:

"We're really proud of the story we've written for this game and we want people to experience it when they play the game. There were a number of surprises when you played Arkham Asylum and there'll definitely be a lot of surprises in this when you get it in your hands."

These days, it almost seems like we know too much about highly anticipated blockbuster releases, as every major source covers most every significant news story pertaining to the title. And with tons of videos and screenshots, it often feels as if there are no surprises left when cracking open that new game.

This get's a little annoying, actually. Good to see one studio that doesn't wish to spill all the beans early.

I just read an article like two days ago on IGN saying that if you pre-order the the Best Buy version you get to play as Robin with two maps, but they didn't say which Robin. I personally prefer Nightwing but Robin's OK I guess.

It's been confirmed that it is the 3rd Robin, Tim Drake(who currently goes by Red Robin).

Nightwing may also make an appearance as a poster of the Flying Graysons is prominent in some trailers.

I would expect that Robin's challenge maps will be released to everyone eventually. Not sure whether we'll have to pay for it if we don't buy from BestBuy.

I may be a bit biased as Batman has always been my favorite in the realm of superheros, but Arkham Asylum was w. out doubt one of the best superhero games I have ever played and may be the best one out there. It was phenomenal and I had a great time with it.

Needless to say I am greatly looking forward to this sequel, and if that's only w. in the first two hours… 40hours of available content? Wow, this will be a D1Purchase for me.

I'm not adverse to knowing too much about a game before it comes out. If you don't want to know everything about it, don't watch the trailers and casually skip over those particular headlines. Up to the player really.

Some people can't help themselves, and then if they frequent gaming sites they tend to pick it up just by reading comments. It's hard to sequester oneself from game info these days I think.

I think that's an awesome move, there just aren't any surprises in games any more because devs and publishers need to talk about all the awesomeness in order to get all the sales they can cuz these games cost a ton to make. But it's classy to hold a few surprises for fans anyway.

Another one for my must have list.

BTW, Gamestop's got Green Lantern out now so I wonder how that superhero game will be doing, and if it's any good.

Hey Ben, will you be reviewing Green Lantern???

I can think of a few things

the less they show off the better!
thats one thing i hate about allot of games these days they spoil the best parts by releasing them in trailers.
the battle between kratos and Poseidon for example.
everyone saw the trailer shat there pants, then the game came out and it was like meh.
same things happening for me with infamous 2.
when i was previewing it i was like OMG this is so cool, then i got to do a few boss battles and was like wow there so big this is so freaking awesome!
now im playing it its like meh been there done that.
not saying they should not show off there games, but they need to think about what to show and what not to show more carefully.

This game is going to be great. I wonder what everyone is voting for the collector's edition to include?
