Well, the force won't be disturbed this fall. LucasArts has announced that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been delayed until 2008, causing a collective groan to rise from the clamoring Star Wars fans.
Several weeks ago, the publisher posted a release date of November 2007 for the latest installment in the franchise, and revealed it would be produced for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP and DS. But representatives told GameSpot the game had slipped from that original date – perhaps too optimistic? – and now they believe we'll see the game some time next spring. For now, retailers are listing it as "TBD."
LucasArts didn't go into specifics regarding any reasons for the delay, but nevertheless, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be that much bigger in 2008.
