Sony Online Entertainment has been forced to cancel The Agency , but another promising project is on the horizon.
SOE has announced PAYDAY: The Heist , "a high-intensity squad-based first person shooter where players take on the role of a hardened career criminal pulling death-defying heists in the never-ending pursuit of the 'big score.'" We'll need teamwork along with solid action reflexes to succeed, and we'll get all sorts of cool features, like co-op and supposedly "endless replayability." Said Christopher Sturr, SOE Executive Director of Business Development.

The game boasts six "heart-stopping heists," and that includes everything from a bank robbery to a midnight infiltration of a top-secret, high-security facility. They also say that no scenario will ever play the same way twice, which of course adds to the longevity. PAYDAY: The Heist will be ready to go later this year on the PlayStation Network and PCs as a digital download.
