The PlayStation Network problems set us back a ways, but certain downloadable content won't be denied.
Activision has confirmed that the Escalation content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will be available on the PlayStation Store on June 10. This fresh batch of extras includes new multiplayer maps (Hotel, Convoy, Zoo and Stockpile), as well as Call of the Dead, a theatrical zombie experience featuring director George A. Romero, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker and Danny Trejo. …I was wondering what the hell that poster was when I got it a month ago. Anyway, we know CoD fans who play Black Ops on the PS3 have been annoyed at the delay but hey, better late than never, right? By the way, in celebration of the launch, Treyarch will host another Double XP weekend, starting June 10.
You're interested in the Call of Duty Elite beta, too, right? The test will involve Black Ops so take advantage and try it out.

Don't buy it.
pshaww…
Fiiiiiiinnneee…… i won't then.
What, you don't buy the fact that it will be available June 10th? Well believe it! 😉
Yayyyyy for sloppy seconds!
Yes! Finally! This will be the best DLC yet for BO! I hear Call of the Dead is very challening, looking forward to it. Little disappointed it isn't happening this weekend. I feel the Welcome Back program is to blame for them waiting a week. Like Ben said, better late than never!
Just traded in my copy of BO's towards a headset so I can play BFBC2. Black op's was losing me quickly to that game and with the PSN outage I lost all interest in it. Got really old once you prestiged. Heres hoping MW3 is more fun.
The only things I enjoyed on black ops were no free-for-all boosters, the theater, and the wager matches. Otherwise, I was very disappointed.
I even made an Infinity Ward emblem with the tools in black ops.
Dont get me wrong there were some things in BO that I really liked, however they were extras and not necessiarly gameplay. I made a Packer helmet emblem and the theater was cool, but it did not stem the boredom I felt after my 3rd prestige
The welcome back package is ready…
i gotta get it for the zombies…I do like the zombies
Sarah Michelle marry me
really? her?
Not my first pick but yeah, I'd bang buffy.
I'm with you World. I think she is sexy as hell plus her voice…hmmmmm and it isn't creepy since she's 4 years older than me.
please do not support cod anymore. i was actually very excited for the new content but now after learning about elite all of that is out the window. it is time for all cod players to unite and boycott this. its not a personal opinion, its about the future of gaming. if this is succesful then we are all in trouble. imagine bf3 elite, assassins creed elite and so on. do not enable the corporate greed. please!
Hate to sound all reasonable on you, but if players find Elite to not be worth the money, they won't pay for it. Corporate greed is what keeps the wheels a turnin', without it we wouldn't have videogames.
If you want to boycott it, you go right ahead, I'm with you & the more the merrier.
Anyway, anyone not buying it because they believe it's a rip-off is boycotting it themselves, whether they willing to admit it or not.
Anyways, here's a funny "how many ways to die" in-play video of this guy trying to show how this new Elite works….

might get this, been dying for a decent zombie shooter!
wish house of the dead overkill move remake was out now!
Don't waste your money. $15 bucks goes a long way on Steam or…hell, anywhere else. Do not continue to reaffirm the lie that $15 = 5 maps. It's BS.
what's with this site and call of duty??
i mean it's a great community with great disscusions but when call of duty comes in everybody gets sour about it.
I think it is because most posters "including myself" are not on the COD or BO kool-aid and see that it is not the end all be all of FPS. I found BO to be very fun but lost its replay-ability once I prestiged a few times. I bought the first map pack hoping it would spark some new life into the game for me, but it never did.
