Sci-fi fans, RPG fans, action/adventure fans…all of them might be intrigued by Deus Ex: Human Revolution .
We will see the long-awaited return of this critically acclaimed franchise on August 23 and the E3 2011 trailer is here. "This Ends Now" paints a dramatic picture of the game's futuristic storyline; as usual, Deus Ex is about human progression and advancement gone wrong. And of course, there's only one man who can stop an evil corporation…
Not a bad theatrical trailer. I've always liked these games; the freedom involved, combined with the role-playing and shooter elements makes for an engrossing experience. Provided Eidos Montreal gives us a great plot and solid, reliable gameplay, Human Revolution should be a winner.

Anyone else reminded of MGS. In a reeeeeally good way?
Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking… It needed a drinking/smoking monkey but It was cool..
It's just… Their faces… Looks solid like plastic shields? Like they even struggle with moving their lips? Look again, pay attention to the scenes where they talk… Does *not* look good imo!
Deus Ex has never been about amazing graphics. All the games have always looked stiff and bland, IMO.
It's more about the story and the gameplay.
Sure, it's still firmly placed on my priority list for this year, don't get me wrong.
It's just, in 2011 I kinda expect more than these doll faces, especially from what seems to be more or less taken from cutscenes (the talk scenes, that is).

I agree with Beanboom, if they're going for drama, they should probably have done a little better job on the facial animations and lip synching.
I CANNOT wait for this game! Cyberpunk, drama, transhumanism, RPG elements, what look to be a great story, transhumanism, cyberpunk, high action, futurism, transhumanism!!! Oh man, what more could I ask for?
This is my most anticipated game of the year to be honest, mostly because I really enjoy the themes of it. The only thing that can make this any better is if science could start implementing some of these biohacks.
Still waiting on the singularity.
I think you left out stealth fans too, Ben.
Man oh man….I got to find a job quick, because Deus Ex & the new Ace Combat have been #1 & #2 at the top of my D1P want list.
Looks good I'm more interested than I used to be, not a day 1 but there's interest.
Already preordered…
Am still very interested. Does anyone know if you can switch between 3rd and 1st person? I've seen in some scenarios it is but I prefer 3rd all the way through, either way I will still see about this.
I stopped watching when I saw square-enix. Ok ok I'm joking:)
I was sold on this one when I saw the game play demonstration while back. This update only makes me consider pre ordering it.
I see the item, cover, and explosive wall highlighting is still turned on in this video. Just hope that it has the option to be turned off in the full release like they said it would be due to the negative feedback that it produced.
I am hoping, as usual, that they honour the original. I don't see much to worry about so far.
That being said, proper MGS vibes, eh?!
"!" ;-D
On my list, but probably not a D1P. As good as it looks, my money is being saved for Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, Twisted Metal, The Last Guardian, Team ICO Collection, Batman Arkham City, Gears 3, Bioshock Infinite, Star Wars Old Republic, Sonic Generations, Battlefield 3 and Duke Nukem Forever.
It certainly does look impressive, but there's only so much money a person can spend on games. Many of these will have to wait for half price sale or something.
RESISTANCE 3(Sep 6), FIFA 12(Oct), Modern Warfare 3(Nov), Battlefield 3(Nov?), Uncharted 3(Nov). All in order & D1Ps.
If any money left
Starhawk, The Darkness 2, Twisted Metal. 2011 is an awesome year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL guys isn't this just WONDERFUL! Each and everyones lists are FILLED with goodies, and it's not even the same titles in all lists!
My personal checklist contains:
Infamous 2, Alice Madness Returns, Fear 3 (coop), Deux Ex, Saints Row 3 (coop), Resistance 3 (coop), Spider-Man: Edge Of Time, Darkness II, Ratchet&Clank (coop), Batman, Battlefield 3, Dead Island (4 player coop)…
The pure single player games will probably have to wait for a price drop, but the coop games, if good, is quite possibly d1p.
… + BioShock, Mass Effect and Dragon Age so far in 2012!

Looks a lot better graphically than it originally did, although the facial animations and lip synching could use some work. And I'm just hoping the gameplay is good and as choice-driven as they say it is. Its been a while since I've played an FPS as unique as this one, so I hope Eidos Montreal doesn't let me down.
sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cant wait for this!
finally the game alpha protocol should of been!
sad to see a preview build has been leaked on the net, eidos are going to be pissed!
i can see media events being strictly in house from now on, this is getting ridiculous!

side note, PSNs FINALLY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shame i can get anything, everytime i open the store i get a error then nothing appears.
COME ON I WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE INFAMOUS 2 DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i swear to god they REALLY are run by monkeys!
only monkeys could be this bloody disorganized!
Don't forget your heart medicine. 🙂
Definite interest in this. But will wait for reviews first. No love for Skyrim? Not one mention on anyones list.
