That's a great deal right there. Sadly, I don't know if I'll be able to get the game when it comes out. Too many other ones that I'm more interested in. I do hope that I eventually get to it though.
Is there a specific place for the pre-order?
I went on Amazon.ca and Gamestop but nothing mentioned this.

I picked up Demon's Souls a few weeks back for $15. Eventually I'll get around to playing through Gamespot's 2009 GotY pick. What you say? But that's the year Uncharted 2 came out. Aye sir, aye, it was.

SOLD meant I was at an auction and I bought Dark Souls because I love Demon's Souls. I know it's going to be as good or better than DS! Fan service is how the dev is giving their collector's edition for the same price as the standard game. It reminded me of Valve because they always do things for the fans like release free DLC or give us a free PC copy of Portal 2 with the purchase of the PS3 copy. Sometimes it's best to just not type anything.

just fo a simple preorder deposit? Im not an RPG fan but that right there would be enough to make me want to look a little bit more into it.
I still need questions answered. Demon souls what is it? whats it about? and why do y'all like it so much?
Demon's Souls was like the most awesome 3rd person action rpg I ever played.
First, you make your own character with great personalization options.
2: What you learn will depend on how you customize your stats as you level up. You can be Archer/mage/warrior/priest/rogue all mixed up together taking advantage of your favorite skills
3: The online implementation is gorgeous. You can actually see the ghost of other players playing at the same time you do. You can also see them die and that will help you survive by learning from their mistakes. You can write good or misleading messages on the floor that other people will actually be able to see while playing in their own games. And you can summon or be summoned by friends to help them in their quests OR you can invade someones game as a player killer lol.
4: The game is VERY challenging the first time you do it. It is easy to die if you make the slightest mistake but it also gives you such a gratifying feeling when you overcome those obstacles perfectly haha.
I tried to sum it up in a short version. But this game is really a must play if you are looking for a challenge 😀 Some people in my surroundings couldn't get around the first stage LOL XD

Thanks for the info on Deamons Souls. I never played it, although I heard it was really good. I'll definitely check it out on gamely, and if I like it I will probably get in on the free limited edition goodies for Dark Souls.

Just curious, I saw at the end of the latest trailer for Dark Souls that it is for PS3, but there was no 360 sign anywhere.
Is Dark Souls multiplatform? It's what I last heard, but the trailer seems to suggest PS3 exclusive. Could be a joint advetising campaign with Sony for all I know.
Well, you know how there were only FFXIII commercials for the 360 version? Similar to that situation.
Could be due to the fact that From Software is developing it for the ps3 and I forget which company is publishing in America, but the American publisher is porting it to 360.
So if you see anything about it from From Software they may only mention the ps3 version.
From Software is developing and publishing it in Japan, while Namco Bandai is publishing it in the rest of the world. I'm almost tempted to ask how many DVDs this is going to come on, considering FFXIII and L.A. Noire. Although they're both fairly linear, and the same can't really be said of Dark Souls. Hmm.

I'm really looking forward to Dark Souls and that is a great deal, but I'll have to wait and see what my financials are like closer to October before I can determine whether or not I'll have the money to partake in this particular offer.
DAMNIT! Another digital soundtrack?! Might actually be worth picking this one up, I found the strategy guide of Demon's Souls to be impossibly helpful. And you can be damn sure that I'll be getting this game early. I'm tempted… This available over the ocean, or just America?

october is hardly the month to play a RPG, let alone one of the hardest games ever released!

no its not, a RPG takes forever to finish and we barely have enough time to finish the games due to release let alone throwing a RPG into the mix!
plus add to that the difficulty of this game, which will double the time required to finish it.
these types of games need to be released in quiet months so you can give them the time they deserve, not in one of the busiest months of the year that you can only give it a week!
well I guess you make a little sense, considering how you can never actually beat demons souls. Don't know whether or not it it will be the same in dark souls though

Yes, this will be another Great True game! You are right these games are not for the casual gamer. Now if CD Projekt could get their act together and release The Witcher 2 on the PS3 it would be fantastic! 2 of the greatest RPG franchises on the PS3 would be sweet. I think CD Projekts problem is that they are thankfully perfectionists. They want their game to be perfect and won't release a substandard console edition with low textures. Hopefully they will figure out how to make it very close to the PC version.

Yes! The soundtrack alone has me sold. I still listen to Demon's Souls soundtrack that I got with it. Can't wait to be calling the suicide help line again.
