When we heard Black Box Games was working on a new Need for Speed , we wondered if we'd see another Unleashed installment.
But as it turns out, Need for Speed: The Run is in the hopper. First revealed in a YouTube teaser video below and later confirmed by EA, this one seems to be yet another departure for the iconic franchise. This trailer is only a little over a minute in length, but it's quite interesting: in addition to multiple major cities, it seems as if we'll always be "on the run" and that somehow, our life depends on our driving ability… Just don't make a mistake.
It appears we can expect The Run to arrive on November 15 in North America and three days later in Europe, and we expect the first information to arrive soon (perhaps next week). For all you NFS fans, this one ought to be quite the adrenaline rush.

Wow. Just what is this? It reminds me of Cruisin' USA for the N64 when I saw the US map, except with all the drama, exploding environments, and police chases.
That game was great in the arcade cockpit.
Can we just get an updated version of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit II, is it that hard to do….
First off that is a very stupid name! And second… I don't know what to say. It looks like it will have some nice cars, most noticeable Ford's new Police interceptor and the new Shelby GT500 Mustang. I'm interested in this game, I hope it's street racing with cop chases. Not like Hot pursuit I'm talking about Underground. That is street racing, all it was missing was the cops and it would of been perfect.
NFS Underground 2 is still me favorite second to Carbon only bc Carbon has cops.
I hope it's the return of Underground like all the NFS fans been wanting for years!
Looking forward to more info.
I could never get into the Undergrounds for some reason.I tried but they never grabbed my attention. Aside from the original Hot Pursuits, I've been looking for another game that was as fun as Most Wanted. With a new Burnout coming down the pipes and now this game, my 'arcade' racing thirst should be well quenched.
This one looks interesting to me. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on it. I've been wondering when someone was going to use the power of the new consoles to actually map out a full country worth of roads to be able to drive on. I don't imagine it will be to that scale, but the fact that someone is at least attempting it has got me excited.
@Chink
Burnout was a monster. Best arcade racer ever in my opinion.
hmmm…. ight has my attention hopefully its like stang said.
Hmm… could be interesting. NFS isn't really my thing, but I'll support it if it's good.
interesting.
if it gives us free roaming, drifting, heaps of cars and heaps of cusomization count me in!
and bring back the shortcuts and jumps…I miss hunting for the jumps that the original Hot Pursuits had.
yea that too.
O and i forgot cop chases we MUST have cop chases!
best part of NFS most wanted is the cop chases, was so much fun racing around looking for breakers to destroy their cars, or just ramming roadblocks! NFS MW has to be my favorite NFS game of all time!
it looks……….interesting?
it looks more like a fast and the furious trailer, than a need for speed trailer.
I REALLY hope this is like Underground 1 and 2. Those games were fantastic

underground 1 was the first video game i ever got and it remains to be the the best street racing game available (in my opinion). im tired of this "free-roam" crap in racing games. that is why underground 1 is the best game available
Like I said in the forums, I think it looks great. I'm excited for it.
Another NFS lol. How many of these titles are they going to keep pumping out ?
People moan about the COD series being done every year. Isn't the NFS series doing the same more or less ?
Again I'll wait for reviews on it, stiull not got Shift 2 and I doubt im going to be getting it. GT5 is serving my driving needs for a while now and Mortorstorm Apocalypse is fun for messing round on.
The thing with the NFS games though is that, yeah they are releasing 3 different titles a year, but neither game is close to resembling the other. Shift is a track racer..an "arcade simulator" (not as good as GT5 but trying to be) Hot Pursuit is a balls to the wall arcade "funster" Physics don't matter, the cars drift like crazy, but who cares? You just flipped a cop car while e-brake turning around a 90 degree turn at 200 mph…lol.
When COD comes out, it's essentially just an expansion pack of the one before it. When NFS launches a game, it's usually a different game then the one before it. Not to mention that they use different developers for each.

I am not quite sure what to think.
Yeah…and after Shift 2?
So their changing gears on this one. The trailer looks pretty cool. Sounds like u will probably be able to get of the car and beat some cops up, then making a big run for it.
Looks like a race across america or get killed game. Looks really cool actually.
This is going to sell just a bad as Shift 2. Has anyone checked the figures on that game…NFS is going down hill fast. I bought Shift 2 first week, by the second week it was worth less than half the intial retail price. Shift 2 is the biggest dissappointment this year for me, ahead of KZ3's story (lol)
I want!!!!!!!
I like the look of this so far. Can't wait been a NFS fan since 1996.
I heard somewhere that this games uses Frostbite 2 engine from DICE, makes sense though. Who wouldn't want to utilise it?
Looks cool. I'll have to keep my eye on it.
