Two Worlds II is an expansive, competent RPG with a few obvious flaws.

If you're one of many who were able to overlook those flaws and have an enjoyable experience, you'll be interested in the upcoming expansion: publisher TopWare has just launched a website for Pirates of the Flying Fortress , which is described as "the official expansion pack" for TWII. In the introduction, they note that the game in question has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide – an achievement worthy of note – and say this new pack will boast an "exotic flair, new enemies, new settings, and new weapons." Pirates of the Flying Fortress will be available as a multiplatform title (maybe set to be released as a bundle with both the original game and the fresh DLC) and come to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac in September. The game is pretty darn big to begin with, so you'll probably have plenty to do between now and then.

Sure, September is a ways off but maybe that's an indication of size…this expansion might be super huge.

Nailed it, $35 shipped. Should be worth that to me.

It's a lot of fun and has some of the best customization of spells of any game I've ever played.

2.5 million sold? Holy crumbs! Gamers really ARE hard up for the next Elder Scrolls.

Well, it sold really well in Europe, especially. Not sure what it sold here.

@ alienange

This game is more like demons souls than the elder scrolls imo.
Gameplaywise anyways, but its as open as tes.
So I guess you could say its like tes meets demons souls.

When my girl got me this game I wasn't looking for the next es. Just a good rpg, and this game definately delivered. I'm actually still in the middle of my first play through but so far its pretty sick.

Youu should try it.

And I look forward the the dlc, but I'm affraid wkc2 will have my attention for A LONG time.

The game ISN'T big, the single player is about medium size and the adventure mode in multi player mode stops abruptly leaving you nothing but to repeat village runs and marshlands grinding over and over and over and over and over….. and over.

EDIT: Actually I take that back, the single player is large enough, but most of it's aspects don't carry over to multiplayer. E.g. Monsters, alchemical recipes, open world which would make this game so much better.

This is great news, I love Two Worlds II. It is tons of fun. So much customization, dying your armor, making your own spells, hunting, crafting. So much to do if you're the kind of person who can pull everything out of an open world rpg. I enjoyed sailing my boat around and exploring just because, really have to catch the wind though.

This is some dlc that is being done right for a game I loved and I'll be picking it up as soon as I can afford to.

its a shame not many games get expansions these days.
i mean who said DLC has to be MP based?
i would kill for a few extra levels for uncharted 2, or infamous, or even heavy rain.
