If you have both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, perhaps there's added incentive to nab the PS3 version of L.A. Noire .
According to various sources citing an advertisement for the game, Team Bondi's ambitious, innovative title will come with PS3 exclusive content: the "Consul's Car Traffic Case." You can see a snapshot of it here, and Rockstar has already commented on the subject, saying in a reply on their site- "Look for more details on that, coming soon," which essentially confirms the exclusive DLC's existence. This isn't to say the 360 version won't have some form of exclusive content but for now, we're only aware of this new development. For the most part, pre-order DLC incentives typically become available to everyone some time after the game launches. But when it comes to platform exclusive content, that's the type of thing that can remain exclusive for a very long time…if not forever.
Extra content or no, we just want this game. Like, ASAP.
Related Game(s): L.A. Noire
Even more incentive to dive into this potential master piece
I actually dreamt about playing LA Noire a couple nights ago! :$
Can't freakin wait
When I dream about games I usually start out playing them then wind up in them!
Why just announce the Ps3 content? doubt 360 gonna get something at launch R* is blunt at exclusive content, just remember what happened to GTAIV episodes =S.
Did the 360 ever get that ps3 exclusive content for Red Dead Redemption?
They didn't get it at launch, not sure if they got it later.
but like I said isn't rare to them give dlc at launch to just one console.

Nice to see some love for the PS3 version even after losing support from Sony
they probably ran out of space on the dvd. i cant wait to play this game. i look forward to reading the reviews and hope that it scores well.
For ps3 or 360 I'm not really a fan of them doing this kind of thing. I'm all for incentives, but holding out part of the game just doesn't seem right. It's one thing if it's a weapon or an outfit, something that won't make much impact, but an actual case in a detective game.
I won't be missing it because I have the ps3, but I'd rather people choose ps3 version for better quality than for more content.
This is probably not relevant to the main story of the game. It is more likely to be a seperate case just like the preorder bonuses are.
I don't really mind if a company wants to release exclusive content for one platform or the other. Doesn't make a difference in my gameplay if the 360 has something the PS3 doesn't.
Bioware have annoyed me greatly with actual characters becoming DLC. I completely agree.
This always seem unfair for the console that misses out. Even so, I hope that it comes packaged on the disc and isn't exclusive D1DLC. That always irritates me, but we can just about guarantee that it will be. Ah well. **It happens. Doesn't change the fact that I'll be picking this one up.
Peace.
yeah, I think it's lame, too. This was MS's way of doing things a few years ago and now, it seems, Sony has adopted similar practices.
I suppose MS only owners can take solace in knowing that their version will "exclusively" render at a higher resolution (seeing that it's a Rockstar game)
In the end, the ideals of either Sony or MS lead to the same business goal: profitability and growth. And those businesses are run and operated by human beings working to earn a pay check and exist comfortably within our economic system. All of whom are working to make personal ends meet and to make our everyday society more entertaining to live within. So really, whether it has Sony's, MS's or Nintendo's name, it's only an identity for their product offering that may be more, or less, appealing to consumers…. yeah, I have some time to kill so I thought I'd just carry on there for a bit.. So time to go back to my fanboy beliefs, pouring myself a bowl of whole wheat X's, O's, Triangles, and Squares with PS shaped marshmallows for breakfast. Who wants Uncharted 3 woot woot! =p
How do you know this just isn't Rockstar trying to say we appreciate you and has nothing to do with Sony. Either way I'll be happy when I get the game next month.
I don't know that, Daze. But I do know companies offer up monies to publishers to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. It's the nature of the beast. It's seemingly unfair for the end-user. Guys, like my 360-only buddy, who have been longing to play the MK demo, but because it's tied up in Sony's PS Plus service, he's having to sit on the sidelines until launch day.
Basically, what I'm saying, every business exhibits such practices. I guess that's not saying much. I'd imagine most anyone already knows that.
…I'm waiting for my fish and veggies to cook so I'm passing the time with posts.
If anything, Daze, it'd be Team Bondi's way of showing their appreciation of Sony for giving them the initial $20 million of funding.
Peace.
I will wait for the review on this one. I loved GTA IV, Saints Row 2 and Mafia II, but this one I'm not so sure on buying it.
If it's on one DVD then just look at it this way: one of the many cases cut when it went multiplat.
The 360 exclusive dlc:
'The case of the RROD'
I just hope the PS3 version is better.
Come on Rockstar, the game is coming out next month. Can we get some details already?
What do ya wanna know?
Im guessing the exclusive content is consolation for having an inferior version…if the stories about this game are true
The amount of preorder incentive cases and now this case is kind of astonishing tbh. Its almost like they had to cut a large portion of the game just to fit on a certain console's DVD capacity.
Either that or they've caught the DLC-crazy bug like most other devs. And that's not a good thing either.
And the other reason I don't like this is because I hate it when consoles get exclusivity to something, be it a single mission or a huge DLC like the Fallout 3 or GTAIV ones. I just don't think its right to leave content out on any system.

thad be because it was suppose to be a exclusive till sony dropped it!
still think there nuts for that!
i mean we finally have a new game that changes everything, has never been done before!
and they dropped it?
its like saying no i dont want the rights to the star wars movies!
At one point I had given up on this game. I thought they wouldn't be able to get the original vision right due to no longer being an exclusive title but I can't be more excited now. This does feel alittle like a consolation prize though for losing exclusivity.
