Capcom may have something fresh and new to unveil at their annual Captivate event today, and we already have some supposed leaked information.
According to 3DJuegos , Capcom plans to release Dead Rising 2: Off the Record , which may be some sort of special package that includes all the downloadable content (like Case Zero and Case West). If it is, that's good news for PlayStation 3 fans, because such DLC never did find its way to Sony's machine. Of course, we seriously doubt they'd be able to call this package a "Game of the Year Edition" considering the critical response was nowhere near high enough to warrant that label. So it might just be a "complete" edition of some kind, which would be perfect for those who missed out on DR2 last year. As for other possibilities at the Captivate event, we hear Capcom is going to reveal a brand new IP some time very soon, so we'll keep an eye on that. We already know about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City …how's about RE6?
Obviously, it isn't a new IP, but we'd like an installment that doesn't focus on action and squad-based shooting. Something that says, "yep, I'm a Resident Evil game" would be just fine by us.
