Ben-DutkaIt had been rumored that multiple studios were collaborating on this year's Call of Duty effort and now, that appears to be true.
It seems at least one studio is offering assistance: Raven Software, responsible for last year's great Singularity , has posted up a job listing that sort of confirms their involvement. Here's part of the ad:
"RAVEN SOFTWARE, developer of numerous award-winning games, including contributions to the blockbuster Call of Duty series is seeking passionate designers to join an established team at work on a first-person shooter."
The first rumor said that Raven had been asked to stop work on their James Bond and X-Men projects to work on Call of Duty and earlier this year, another job listing said the team was working on an "established, first-person military shooter." However, we're not entirely sure what Raven is doing for the next CoD; are they handling the multiplayer? Single-player? Something else? Is the new CoD really a team effort with Sledgehammer Games, Raven, and Infinity Ward?

The COD series is in need of a serious overhaul! Perhaps a collaboration of multiple studios will freshen things up for the next installment. Then again, it may be too many hands fondling the mouse and it ends up being a horrific mess!

I have no plans on purchasing another CoD if it isn't anything different then what we've seen before. Maybe multiple studios can put together something that can be appreciated..I'll wait until I see some gameplay a few months down the line.

SOCOM 4 is here, well technically on April 19th. Call of Duty has been the same game since COD4 back in 2007.
Time for something fresh.
Yeah I recently noticed that on Raven's wikipedia page it listed them as working on a new Cod game.
Personally I'd rather activision let them get back to marvel ultimate alliance. I want UA3 and I want it to be good. Not like the supremely downgraded version that 2 was.
Imagine for a second if studios like Eat play Sleep, Guerilla Games, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and Zipper Interactive all made one huge epic game together!!! That would be sweet…a man can dream cant he?

yeah, there are too many cod headlines here. the one that really annoyed me was the hollywood where's my cod movie. it's like somebody running the site has cod turrete's syndrome.

and f*** boring.
killzone 3, socom 4, and battlefield 3……cod needs to be brand new to even compete with these titles.
shame, what a waste of talent!
wolfenstein was ok, and singularity was a really good game!
this studios got allot of potential, they just have to break free from the antivision stranglehold!
