The saga continues.
We Dare has become a hot topic of conversation lately, and it isn't entirely because of the controversial ad that spread its innuendo-laden sexiness across the land. It's also because the European video game rating board (PEGI) and publisher Ubisoft have been at odds ever since the new party game was rated PEGI 12. Ubisoft responded to this by saying it's an inaccurate rating, and they would do their duty by warning parents . Now, PEGI has snapped back , claiming Ubisoft is incorrectly utilizing the hype for gain; i.e., they released a "misleading" ad. If they don't remove said ad within three working days, the publisher will face "immediate sanctions." You can see that video through one of the links above and according to PEGI, it doesn't "accurately reflect the nature and content of the product and it misleads the consumers as to its true nature."
…all right. But, um…we have a question. The name of the game is "We Dare." If Ubisoft wasn't going for a certain…something…why is it called that? If it's designed to be a tame little party game, we're guessing it would have a different title. That's all. Just a thought. And no, just as a reminder, this game isn't coming to the US.

WOW…I get a childish vibe from this one. Pegi vs Ubisoft Round 1 FIGHT!
*Sorry I got MK on the brain now* LoL

That's because the new MK is going to be the bee's knees
I got MK on the mind too, when I look at new stuff about it I get pleasant flashbacks to afternoons at the arcades. It's a nice endorphin rush. MKII was that big to us back then.
Great incentive to become a PSPlus member….must leave work early….to play game….need more….blood….and gore….*runs out of the office screaming FINISH HIM*
Seems kind of petty really.
You clearly don't understand how big an issue this is. You do realise that the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan could have been avoid had Ubi marketed this game honestly don't you?
coverton, as funny as that was it might have been to soon. i got a chuckle out of it cuz i know what you meant but just maybe to soon.
If we can't laugh while we grieve then we are doomed to live in perpetual darkness.
Humour and laughter keep us living and strong through tragedy.
If my words seem biting or harsh or "too soon" it is because I feel it is better to try to keep in good spirits and not let the circumstances of tragedy rule our lives and feelings.
Yea, it's terrible what's happening in Japan right now and my heart goes out to those people though there isn't much we can do except wait. =/
Frylock = Honorable intentions
Coverton = Champion psychology
Jawk = Kind shout out.
Props to all!
World = Fist pump
Thanks Underdog, and yes I do feel the pain of the tragedy in Japan. I have loved ones there and my best friend is stationed there. They are all okay. I don't mean to come off callous or uncaring, it's just the way I deal with things.
Only on the topic of Japan, but my prayers go out to those people.
So, anyone here wants their move controllers shoved down butts, have saliva on them as make believe apples, and other silly stuff, say "We Dare".
Seriously, there are things OK for videogames, and there are things best left for the actual real deal.
*Dude licks on my Move controller *
*Punches him in the face*
"Oh wait, thats how the game is SUPPOSED to be played? F that get off my Move controller man, and leave….*looks at two chicks* wait, no you two stay *glares back at guy* "You leave" LMAO!
There should be a disclaimer: R18 for sexual premise if played with the opposite sex. R18 for blood, gore and violence if played with the same sex.
'course there're the other sexes but you get what I mean…
Speaking of the other sexes, where's LV?
ha ha an lv burn.
somehow, i question ubisofts noble attempt at warning parents as a ploy for getting more sales.
Like I said the other day. This move by ubisoft is little more than desperation.
If Ubisoft is capitalizing on this then isn't PEGI (not the Russian credit card rewards guy on tv) just playing into their hands with this move?
I don't care if it comes to the US or not, but I can think of a couple girls I'd like to play it with.
Happy time!
need a new rainbow 6 or a remake of black arrow. by the way this site has well informed users. ben and company arent to bad either. 😉
Ubisoft is smart by causing a controversy, cause they're now getting millions of dollars worth of free publicity. And it will cause more of those that to the feud inquisitive to buy the game
And I think that Ubi planned it that way all along.
OMFG!
your joking right?
hypocrisy at its greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!
the stupidity of governments these days never ceases to baffle me!
Other sexes, LV. Lmao
