If you're a hardcore role-playing fan, you remember the day The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was announced, because you had a party.
And yeah, I'm like you…I'm not the biggest fan of "announcements for announcements" and countdowns that mean nothing until that countdown is complete. But when it comes to a game like this, where gameplay is paramount – especially considering the number of hours some may spend with this particular gameplay – such an alert is necessary: they're counting down to the "first in-game look" at Bethesda's latest, and everyone should be excited. You remember Oblivion , certainly, but what we end up seeing might be a little different… The hope is that we get another wickedly in-depth RPG with an accessible gameplay mechanic, one that doesn't get tiring or tedious even after a hundred hours. We've seen a ton of of information thus far – just check Game Informer and all the details we've recently published – and that's cool and all, but now we gotta see it.
As I'm writing this story, the clock sits at just under 22 hours, so we don't have long to wait. RPG fans have been pretty happy recently. Dragon Age II looks great , Mass Effect 3 is on the way, and Skyrim should be awesome. And that's only a few…don't forget about Final Fantasy Versus XIII . No, really. Don't forget it.
