MotorStorm: Apocalypse should be great fun. Even failing will be entertaining.
For some reason, this new Japanese gameplay video really wants to focus on the spectacular crashes, and some poor dirt bike-riding guy who can't seem to do anything right. However, it also proves once again that Apocalypse will be a ceaseless adrenaline rush; what with destructible environments that continually alter the track, lots of jumps, and plenty of vehicles…well, we're excited.
We'd rather not crash quite so often, though. The silly rag-doll physics are still funny, admittedly, but you won't get very far if you keep falling. And by the way, what's the deal with that Circle button after you crash? Does pressing it quickly allow you to get back into the race faster…?

Haha gotta love the Japanese's take on things. For them it's like an adventure, a good challenge. For us like FFFF ragequit! anyway, some of us.
Finally some good gameplay footage, still amazed that monster trucks and big rigs can actually fly off buildings like that haha

I'm sure the Japanese would ragequit also. Well here's an example. For the Final Mix version of Birth by Sleep, Nomura toned down one of the secret bosses because it was considered "too hard" for the Japanese. So, they have an easier time fighting the Mysterious Figure.
This looks cool. I love the ability to freeze the action and pan around while you're in mid-flight. I be that will make for an incredible in-game photo mode.

Very interesting video. I haven't been following up on this game. I played some of the first MotorStorm and the MotorStorm for PSP. I love the fact that this one is set in the city and you're racing on buildings and such.
FYI this one will be available in 3D too!
Well then this is perfect. My family just bought a 3DTV. Hmm, a purchase of this is seeming likely. Like PANICinc said, the games did get boring (for me). Is there a demo of this available?
Yes, I remember reading your post in another thread and thought you might be interested in this 3D title too. Like KZ3, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a demo for this available sometime closer to it's launch date.
The game looks good, but I will have to try it before I buy it. The other Motorstorm games got old for me real quick. But as always, I'll approach this one with an open mind and give it a chance!
I'm with Highlander on the camera control, freezing, rotate, pan, screenshot! If only other racers had something like that!
I wish alot of other games had this feature (Take in game pipcture)…Think if Killzone 3 or God of War 3 had this ability. Im so glad Uncharted 2 did, becuase I have sooooooooooo many pictures I took with all the different effects. This and Halo Reach are the best for taking in game pictures.

I didnt even give a crap about this game until i watched this video. Now i think i'll have to buy it.
Super classy… I really enjoyed the demos for the first two, and I still plan on picking up Arctic Edge, but I'm not really sure on this, even though it looks like all kinds of fun. Maybe I'll just wait until they put one on the NGP. I really don't have the time to play this on the PS3.

Only problem I have with motorstorm is that I get bored with it too quickly. Hilarious crashes are a lot of fun and all, but it gets old before long.
Need more substance than a slow motion crash.
Same here. I got tired of MotorStorm 1 and the PSP one after a while. It just didn't keep me interested.

Never cared for these games but this one looks great. Most likely pick this up day one. Need some more 3D content.
I am also looking for as much 3D content as well. KZ3 should be enough till this comes out. Games are cool but movies are another story. So far I enjoy the feature but as of yet I have not been blown away. Any suggestions?

Super Star Dust HD is pretty sweet in 3D. The best use of 3D I have seen so far.
The city falling apart looks pretty pretty, can't wait to try it out.
Definitely. This game is more appealing than past entries because of the setting.

Been thinking about picking tis up. I need a racer that I can just go nuts with. I get too intense with GT5. This may alleviate that. I do miss Burnout though. Something about it just felt like an escape. I may pop that back in the PS3.

Wow…this looks pretty good…gameplay wise and graphically. Might get this. LMAO at the Japanese commentator though, voice and energy is hilarious. Just broke up with my GF and bout to go to lunch with this Chinese girl tomorrow (interacial dating…what?)…I'm going to ask her to speak Chinese like this for me…it always makes me laugh…and no she isn't mad I find this type of crap funny.
I'm buying this game on day one! Thank you Sony for giving us all these amazing games this year, but sadly I'm going to be broke again… I hope all these great titles Sony is delivering pays off for them by PS3 flying off store shelfs like Hot cakes.
MotorStorm 3? I thought it was MotorStorm: Apocalypse. I understand that it is the third MotorStorm on the PS3 but I never herd it being called MotorStorm "3" before. the second wasn't called "2", it was called Pacific Rift.
Just saying.

There are just so many games to get right now. The title launches of late 2010 and the entire for 2011 makes me wonder how much my wallet can really handle. Let alone time to play these games. I still haven't even have the GOW III i long desire yet. I need to catch up!!!!!!!!

Did I see a 3/17 release date there for Japan? GameStop has it listed as 4/12 for the U.S. It would be odd for a U.S. game to release in Japan first.
