Well, make that three new games for February 22, all of which just might be well worth playing.
Namco Bandai has announced that Knights Contract has gone gold, and will release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 22. Players will follow the adventures of the immortal executioner Heinrich and the witch Gretchen; Heinrich can't die but Gretchen can, so it's up to the hulking hero to protect his partner. The action is expected to be intense and gratifying, as gamers will "string together appendage-dismembering combos while the computer-controlled Gretchen uses her magic in a supporting role." We'll also be able to execute a variety of combination attacks via coordination between the two fighters, but you'll always be in control of the scythe-wielding Heinrich. You can learn more about Knights Contract by checking out our preview ; we have high hopes, and it'll act as a nice complement to the two shooters scheduled for that day- Killzone 3 and Bulletstorm .
Our wallets are going to take a huge hit during 2011, aren't they?

I've always thought that it sounded like a good game, but putting it alongside two games that have received as much pre-release hype as KZ3 and Bulletstorm, with only four weeks to go is likely going to be a killer for it.
It'll be something different, but it will certainly pay for trying to compete. Having it on the shelf beside those other two games may raise interest, but I don't see it faring well. Too bad really.
Peace.
Maybe I will get this depending on the reviews.Never play a killzone game and the bulletstorm demo was okay. I predicting you will give bulletstorm between an 8 and a 8.5.

I liked that preview way back when, but I'm slightly worried that we haven't seen more media concerning the title. I'm still hoping for a great action game and for some damn body to finally get a Single Player 2 character game to work properly. The best system so far was in Prince of Persia, but they went down hill after that.
No forthcoming demo and little footage smells kinda like a 7, but that vid makes it look damn good. I need a scythe to wave around until Visceral is done with Dead Space 2 DLC and gets on Dante's Inferno 2.

best 2 character single player game, and a great game altogether. Majin and the forsaken kingdom.
Action rpg, with platforming, puzzle solving, even tho the rpg was lite, the game is one of my 2010 favorites, was so fun to play.
This one is an optimistic wait and see for me. There's a good deal I see that I like, but there's also a good deal of stuff that makes me question it.
The reviews will help give me a better idea of what to expect.
I just don't care much for the old protective babysitting job some games rely on. It might be fun, but I'm sufficiently turned off for the moment. Only rave reviews will make me take another look outside of the bargain bin.
They still haven't learned from Enslaved have they?
This is gonna bomb badly.
I didn't think the babysitting in Enslaved was bad. I thought the game babysitting you was more annoying.
No dude, I'm talking about the release date.
Enslaved bombed in sale.
sigh, they wont learn will they?
maybe one day, but not till hell freezes over, and pigs learn to fly backwards while reciting the national anthem!
I'm always nervous about games where you have to protect the AI guy, they tend to have a mind set on killing themselves above all else.
I'll wait for the full review to see how it stacks up.
My wallet will take a huge hit in 2011 but this game won't be one of the games I'll buy on Day 1. I'll wait for reviews and maybe pick it up later. I'm holding off on games like Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm as well until the dead period of 2011, whenever that will be (June? July?). Killzone 3 is still Day 1 for me.
I'll give it rent 1st then decide.
I want!
Hmmm… Could this be the "Darksiders" of 2011? I remember Darksiders came out the same day as Bayonetta. Totally got overshadowed by Bayonetta but it was a total sleeper hit!!! Game was just so awesome.
From the way Darksiders ended you would guess they that an announcement for a sequel will pop up sometime soon.
