LittleBigPlanet 2 is set to take over your life next week – no, seriously – and in celebration of the launch, several dedicated gamers want to set some records.
Sony is teaming up with the Guinness World Records next week and the hope is to set five new world records , which will be attempted over a three-day period in the PlayStation Lounge at the Sony Style store in New York City. If you're in the area, feel free to drop by; the fun starts on January 17 and the players will attempt to set the following records:
LBP2 will also be recognized for setting two records: Most gaming genres in one video game, and most player-created levels in one video game (no competition there). They'll be streaming the action live at the PlayStation Blog; they'll be going all-out to support and promote Media Molecule's new masterpiece. Lastly, don't forget that the event will mark the release of the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition; you'll be able to pick it up on January 20 for only $14.99.
Are your favorite video games featured somewhere? Think you could come up with a way to get into that book? Well, if not, you can still have a blast playing LBP2.

SOmetimes I think I could get into this game, but so far I've had no success. I know it's high quality and I can tell that by judging from the demo alone–the critic scores are also an indicator 😉
I just wish you could make the game look less "sack'ish" Where the characters look sleek and cool, and not dopey and cute. But maybe you can make things look sleek and cool. Any LBP fans around here who know?
You can make anything you want in LBP2, you just need an insane amount of time and patience. Two commodities of which I have neither.
I love the game, and I loved playing other peoples levels, but I am no level creator. I can admit to that.
You could dress your sack like a ninja.
BUt does he still look like a sack? But ninja'ish
Yeah, even if you do make them look sleek and cool, they still have that sack-ish way of moving. Not even a ninja costume can cover that up.
I had a dream i was a sackboy the other night. I was stuck in a bar and all the ladies were all over me. They wanted to touch my sack! In other words, it was a wet one!!
one word: crass
spoken like a true pothead
I don't know about you boys but I plan to make it into that book for most complaints about Square Enix 🙂
Im gonna try and make it in by how many second chances I give Fallout New Vegas when it freezes up. It will probably go in the dumbass section of the book.
I know I hit well over a dozen 🙂
(BTW)
Lovin the Lara Croft Slide Show video. But, really, no booty shorts?
That's right, I went off topic.

Well, at least some peeople are dedicated, and it's good to see Sony trying to get their titles out there more this year already.
Also, I'm going to keep asking until I get an answer: Do you have a review copy, or will we have to wait until post-release to see the PSXE review? If you do have it already, when might we expect it?
Peace.
i got a new one for them.
most changed game from the original, and not in a good way.
😉
They wouldn't win that
you never beat the first one because it was too hard for you blankboy, your opinions are invalid because of this.
Remember you claimed you sold it back right away because MM couldn't get its act together and made some kind of puzzle that was way too hard for you, so you blamed it on them and sold it back? So im wondering why you want them to keep the game the same….

Great! Go MediaMolecule! I just went to my favorite shop and reserved a copy (no pre-orders yet; I tried to reserve a collector's ed. Me wants that Sackboy doll. My girl's gonna love it!)
Glad to see they're going to go all out with the game that defined a generation.
ARGH! Is it that time already!?
I've been working on a level for 5 months & I'm so close to finishing it. Dammit, no-one will wanna play it now..
Finish it and upload it because in LBP2, people can still download it.
Cheers for Media Molecule.
Most genre in a video game eh?
Only kind of game that comes closest(and when I say closest I didn't mean close to LBP) to this is probably a sandbox game.
Toy story on the Genesis comes pretty close… One level was a racer type level with R/C, one level was first person with Woody stuck in the rocket at Pizza Planet, there were a bunch of platforming levels, and I never beat the game so I don't know what else there was.
I'll be there 😀
BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!
LBP 1 is good enough for me, with all the add-on and fan made stages, i will never reach the limit and end. will pass LBP2 until it drops below $20.
