Well, we've got plenty of stuff coming out in the first quarter, and we might need a promising title come May.
For the second time, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Day 1 Studios have been forced to delay F.E.A.R. 3 . The last time it was pushed back, it landed a March 22 launch date; now, the new date is some time in May. Scheduled to arrive for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, the next iteration in the horrific first-person shooter franchise needs more time to cook. It's all about delivering "the best possible game" for the consumer and we can support that, provided the final product is worth the wait. F.E.A.R. 3 will feature an all new "divergent co-op mode" that lets players take on the role of one of two characters; either Point Man, the genetically engineered super soldier, or Paxton Fettel, who boasts Telekinesis. Day 1 has also utilized the talents of horror guru John Carpenter ("Halloween," "Escape From New York," "They Live"), and that should translate to a truly engrossing storyline that delivers the thrilling goods in spades.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the series, we suggest you give F.E.A.R. 2 a try. It's worth a play-through.
