There are a ton of promising titles set for 2011 and once again, it appears PlayStation 3 exclusives may set the bar.
However, one game always seems to fall off the radar when running down the list: MotorStorm: Apocalypse . While it may not have the following of Uncharted , Killzone or LittleBigPlanet (all of which get sequels this year), it'd be a big mistake to overlook it. How big? Just watch this footage and interview from CES 2011, where you can get some up-to-date information as well as a glimpse of the greatness that will be Apocalypse :
The dynamic nature of the environment will force you to adapt on a consistent basis; just when you think you've got the track memorized, some catastrophe will be befall the city and you'll be faced with a new route. The whole idea sounds just plain awesome, and we can't wait for it to arrive this spring. …just another game we need.

Motorstorm 1 and 2 never got me to excited, but this one seems to have something about it.
Every video I see gets me more and more hyped for it.
The media guy sort of cracks me up. For the first few minutes he's telling the Sony guy about the series. Then when the SOny guy starts talking, the media guy can't stop but stare at game screen.
The game looks great.
This is my Spring game no doubt.
The level up system sounds really good. As you level up you can add more boost or more durability, speed, etc. to your vehicles. I also hear you can make your own driver, hopefully the character creation is good.
Can't wait for the apocalypse.
oh crap, I forgot about that. This game is going to be so much fun.
The thing I'm glad about is it will have split screen battle so I can demolish my brothers and friends that think they can beat me.
This game is gonna be sweet!! As long as I'm finished with Dead Space 2, I'm gonna get this day one.
We have a release date!! April 12 for NA. EU is March 16. Lucky.
I just hope they don't introduce slingshotted cars again, that game is almost impossible to beat!!!
On my most anticipated list. Pre-order worthy game for me.

I want it to be. But, I dunno if I can make that happen. I may have to resort to the Blockbuster game pass to satiate my hunger.
This game is mine on day one.
I notice the guy needs to fly off his bike a bit more but I'm sure that will be fixed. This game is sounding so freaken awesome.

really enjoyed the pacific 3D rift DL game they had, but they really need to work on the 3D effects for this!
the DLC only has smoke and dirt in 3D, theres no car parts, effects, sparks things like that there all stuck in 2D.
im not sure how the gameplays going to turn out in the new areas, this looks too much like split seccond to me.
I'm sure that the DL content for Pacific Rift was much like a test of sorts for Evolution Studios. Sony probably decided it was a pretty good test and released it. Hopefully they've been able to make improvements to their 3D effects.
im sure they have, im just not sold on the gameplay yet.
