You may file this under the weekend "WTF" category.
If you aren't familiar with Record of Agarest War , it's an RPG from Compile Heart that features a bit of sensitive material. And now, the sequel is already flying around the Internet, and the latest news is that it has received a patch that gives players a new animated event viewer and also enables PlayStation Move compatibility. Now, I know what you're thinking: "what the hell would I use Move for in this game?" Well…this:
I don't know about you, but one of the suggestive options for food made me do a double-take. And then a triple-take. And then the only question I had was, "so…watcha gonna do with that ice cream cone?" Silly me, I should've known. There is a supposedly deep game beneath all this, by the way. Maybe you'll want to play it. …for the RPG part, I mean.
Related Game(s): Record of Agarest War
WTF ever next? I'm guessing this is one game most people will play with one hand, let alone with Move.
I'll be playing with my Dualshocks.
post of the year! true, this and catherine(when in real world)!
For the record, the titillation aspect of Record of Agarest war is *greatly* overstated. I mean, the game carries a T rating in the us and in Europe it's a 12 (as in you need to be 12 or older to play it).
As much as I hate IGN, this quote rom their review sums it up well; "It's being marketed as an erotic SRPG, but in reality it's actually very tame. A little cleavage is all you're going to see here."
The publisher of the game in the West tried to use that supposed erotic aspect of the game to generate publicity. But in reality, it was greatly overstated and the game is about as erotic as a saucy seaside postcard.

Did you ever play the first one Highlander? If so was it any good. I've been thinking about getting it but still not sure.
Great game if you love interacting with a fun cast of characters (maaaaaaany characters in this game) and they all play an important part in the story. Very character driven game.
I'm with Highlander, the game portrays some erotism in a "fun" silly way. It's never over the top or anything, if anything I've seen way more Western games that really push it more compared to this.
I love this game, it's made by RED company, the creators of my favorite rpg of all time Thousand Arms.
great turn based gameplay too, and yeah the adult parts are greatly exagerated.
Plus not to mention Aksys made that limited edition for Xbox 360 users that really made the game seem more perverted than it really was on that 1st game that went with their more perverted than it really is trailer.
But this massage mini-game does get me excited for when U.S. gets it sometime after we get Record of Agarest War Zero and probably having an eventually Xbox 360 port.(I'll buy PS3 version of course just like I did with the 1st game even without having the Blu-ray disc for the game).

@ar_tonelico I know this is off topic, but the 3rd one's been announced for a March release hey?
Now back on topic. How deep is the lineage system? Does it affect the base stats of your team or MC for the next generation a lot? Or it's not a great change?
@th3_bLy If you mean Ar tonelico III aka Ar tonelico Qoga then well I know Europe gets it on March 25th, and even though NIS America hasn't said on the American version yet, it looks like it's targeting an approximate March 15th release(my birthday).
From watching that video, I'm still none the wiser as to what the hell thats all about.
Ahem, well it is JUST a mini-game so it doesn't hurt if you already have Move. The patch is free so I don't see this hurting the game. Just silly fun. It's really just a different culture really.
There's the option to not even play the mini-game so no people shouldn't bash the game, imo. The game itself is very well made, very well animated and the cast of characters are truly amazing.
Very odd, the first one is a lot of awesome rpg tactical fun with a little amusing sexual innuendo here and there. This however seems more than a bit odd.
I'd play it if it had a J instead of and S in the genre.
Well that didn't prevent you from playing Final Fantasy Tactis, right?
I do prefer jrpgs to srpgs myself any day. But there are some really good srpgs one shouldn't miss. Valkyria for example, Fire Emblem, FFT, etc.
If I could have it my way they would all be jrpgs though hehe.
yes it did, FFT= the evocation of my wrath and anger. But Valkyria Chonicles is sweetness.

Well…Japan is known for their risky entertainment and at least this supports the Playstation Move. It may be a hit and make the Playstation Move a bigger hit overseas, very cool.
I enjoyed the first one. Looking forward to the prequel coming out next year.
I should prolly get around to playing the first one.. I have it, but then again, I haven't turned on my 360 for a few months now =/
