With Resistance 3 confirmed for September 6, 2011 , the anticipatory fans have plenty of excited questions.
And you can find the answers to many such questions at places like the NeoGAF forums, Twitter, and the PlayStation Blog; Examiner.com has summarized the replies. There are plenty of interesting details but here are the highlights: firstly, the game is "playable from start to finish" and according to the team, that's "pretty insane for an Insomniac game with this much time left."
They also tell us the multiplayer action is a "more focused experience," and they might announce a special Collector's Edition at some point in the future. They aren't quite sure about PlayStation Move and/or 3D compatibility just yet and oh yes, another vital point:
"The gameplay section (which obviously wasn’t live action) was all totally in-engine and real-time. Some of it was with a director’s camera, but if the gun was in Capelli’s hand, that’s us playing the game at Insomniac this past week!"
There are a few new weapon details, too; the Rossmore Shotgun has been upgraded, the Auger has a new sight, the Magnum has "proper iron sights," and all the Chimera weaponry "have cool alien ironsights." And lastly, you know that sledgehammer you saw at the end of the trailer? Yep, it'll be in the game. Capelli can have one. …gooey Chimeran innards…yay!
