Ben-DutkaIt's one of our most anticipated titles of 2011 and now, it seems we may have an accurate release date.
Officially, L.A. Noire holds a relatively vague launch date of Q2 2011, and Rockstar hasn't issued any update as of yet. However, a reader has turned us onto the fact that Amazon may know something we don't: as you can see , the online retailer has given Team Bondi's promising crime drama a date of April 5, 2011. Now, that seems more than reasonable and we almost want to assume it's 100% accurate. But maybe that's just because everything we've seen thus far has ramped up our excitement level; if you missed any of the coverage, make sure you hit up our news archives . Perhaps most impressive and encouraging is that teaser trailer and fresh gameplay details . This is one title that might be both refreshing and innovative at the same time; those who enjoyed Heavy Rain might really get lost in this "noir" thriller.
Rockstar has teased a major update, so maybe that's when we'll get the launch date…and there's a darn good chance it ends up being in early April.

Amazon just makes sh*t up at random though. Still it doesn't matter, they can release it when it's done because it has become one of those games I simply must own and has taken so long (or seems to have) that I can survive without it now for a while.
April would be ok with me. I want this game and late 2011 is looking packed. I just hope the reviews tell me what I want to hear. If Rockstar let's these guys release a cruddy game it's going to be very disappointing.

nah this wont be a cruddy game, rockstar has a rep to uphold.
yeah…. no. retailers always give a placeholder date. this really shouldn't be news. Rockstar Games will say when Rockstar Games' Games come out. I think that's how it works anyway.
to further my opinion, when GTA IV was coming out, retailers had 100 different dates and yeah… none of them were right.
Got to admit this game has been kind of flying just out of my radar, but the more I hear about it the more I'm interesed…
I am really looking forward to this one. Maybe it will get me through until Uncharted 3 is released.
Good to see this game actually exists after all this time. I'm hoping Eight Days is still in the works but i have grave thoughts it was canned for good, along with The Getaway 3.
