After seeing the first details and media for L.A. Noire , the game rocketed up our "wow, we gotta see this" scale.
After the Rockstar Newswire turned our attention to some of the positive feedback from various sources, we learn that a "big update" should be headed our way soon. Offering a "special look behind the technology of the game," most are guessing it'll be a showcase for Team Bondi's vaunted Motion Scan tech . It's supposed to deliver unbelievably realistic facial animations and based on what we saw in the debut trailer, it seems to be working out nicely. After a few lengthy delays, it appears inevitable that this one will finally see the light of day next year, and for those of you who enjoyed experiences like Heavy Rain , Rockstar's latest might intrigue you. After all, it's about thinking rather than shooting, and being immersed in an authentic, emotional, and dramatic atmosphere. In our eyes, it's the latter that is most progressive.
We'll definitely have to keep an eye on it, and we'll let you know when that "big update" arrives…

um wtf? This game still exist?
Ahhhh, I see the Sun's finally heated that rock you've been living under this last month.
Welcome back to the daylight!

Yeah, it looks cool and all but what has happened to Rockstar? Their development cycles have gotten insane this generation. I understand GTA:IV, it being the first game of the gen for them but this and Agent have been in the works for years now and we still have no date or even attempt at one for either.
Maybe this big update will be a date or a quarter or something, but what about Agent? The big PS3 exclusive that they were supposed to be doing. Is that ever going to see the light of day?
Maybe they pushed everything back to do RDR and all the DLC for it, I dunno?
R* aren't developing this.
I thought Table Tennis was their first game this gen… You can't really say that their dev time has gotten out of hand, because that has happened across the board. Since 2008, they've produced GTA IV, MCLA, RDR, and the DLC for each of those. They've also released GTA: Chinatown Wars on five different platforms, and they have three titles that are expected to release by the end of next year. Sure, they may have spaced out their releases somewhat, but they are still coming.
Peace.
If this is more of the style as to what Heavy Rain was like, it will be interesting to see how the sales figures will compare when you have a name like Rockstar behind it. But if a company like Rockstar is making this style, maybe it will lead to more games of this genre being made..

Can't wait for this one, and it better be good.
But, I have no doubts that R* has been pushing the polish on this on….

What about Bodycount? You've said before that you loved Black.
i did love black, by far the best shooter ever released!
but black has left THQ, he seemed quite angry, and there has not been much coverage on this game.
that all points to it being a steaming pile, so im not getting my hopes up.
hopefully will be getting a worthy sequel to black, but i wont be betting the farm on it.
"More thinking than shooting" I can't wait!
