Bayonetta didn't turn out so well on the PlayStation 3, but as most critics and action aficionados will tell you, the 360 version is one of the very best titles of the generation.
Ultra-demanding and oh so cheesy-sexy, the game sold relatively well and ever since the emergence of the bespectacled witch hottie, fans have wanted to know: are we getting a sequel, or what? Well, developer Platinum Games and designer Hideki Kamiya have said in the past that it's a possibility; now it seems more like an inevitability: see this European source for a set of Twitter posts by a Bayonetta follower and Kamiya. As you can see, the developer confirms that we'll see the sequel "soon" and in general, it seems obvious that Platinum has already started work on Bayonetta 2 . Obviously, PS3 fans are hoping that this time around, they'll get an equal-quality production in comparison to the 360. That shouldn't be a problem, though, as Platinum admitted their mistake the first time around and then made Vanquish , which was fantastic on both consoles in question. So they've righted the ship.
And we'll be very interested to see how Bayonetta 2 turns out. Oh, and that source above reminds us of the sassy lady's behind, which got a lot of attention…yes, well, that's sort of the point, yes?

Let's hope that they do a better job with the PS3 version this time…
Cool avatar.
There is another….
That ones a little more racy. Keeping the FFVII avatar tradition alive with World. Ha
My only problem with racy Aerith/Aeris pictures is the recurring feeling that it's borderline Necrophelia…
Now I know what you're thinking… Necrophelia puts the rot in erotic, but Aerith/Aeris belongs in my memories.
Underdog…dude… Aeris lives forever in the hearts of any that played FFVII and were affected by her passing. Considering I won't play the game beyond that point, she's *not* dead in my mind. Funny how certain characters take on a life of their own in your head isn't it?
@Jawknee, yeah, it's more racy, that's what I think 'scarecrow' was after though.

It really is amazing how many people were affected by Aeris' passing. And Highlander, again, shame on you for not finishing the game.
But hey, sometimes the sweet little slip of a girl IS the sexier type.
But… yeah I have a thing for a large cup size 😉
And…now we're back to Mizuho, Shion and KOS-MOS.
Ok. I got sad when aeris died…… but got over it with yuffie. lol
I can't get into Yuffie. She's 16. That's illegal for me. lol
you know what else came to a point?……
KOS-MOS?
Bayonetta is one of the best hack/slack action adventure game of this gen. i got the 360 version just cuz it has better visuals. the character is among the hottest this gen too, cant wait for a sequal. but i want it on PS3 with top quality this time around. if still a washed out port, then i will be pissed.

I don't own a 360 like you, so my only choice were PS3 versions. I sort of missed a lot of great games that look superior on the 360 (Assassin's Creed, Bayonetta etc.) I think, if the developers don't slap you with a half-@$$ version of their game, why give them the cash?
I really wanted to try out Bayonetta, let's hope this time around it'll be better. They really need to give more attention to PS3, considering they sold many more copies regardless of the piss-poor quality.
Bayonnaise wasn't awful on PS3 technically, basically it plays like a game from Bethesda, which is twitchy but not horrible. All my problems were with the non-technicals.
The PS3 version plays like garbage. The graphics aren't too great but that's okay because it's the play that counts most in these types of games. But the game has a frame rate that acts like the game is on crack. It's simply all over the place and it's almost disorienting while trying to keep pace with the combat. I absolutely can not believe Sega allowed it to ship in the state it was in. I can honestly claim that I haven't played a worse port during this console gen than Bayanetta on PS3. What's sad is that i'd really prefer to play this one on PS3 because the DS3 is much more to my liking.
Aside from that, the game when in it's proper form–x360–it's great and very deserving of it's praise. It's so wacky and over the top you really can not predict where the game will take you next. I just wish her head wasn't proportioned so small in relation to her body. I wonder if it's a japanese thing because I just don't get it. In fact, I think the character designs in general are sometimes a little lacking. But I do think the creatures, bosses, and enemies are quite incredible and elegantly decorated in a somewhat angelic way.
Seeing now that Platinum Games has got their game on properly with PS3, I'm fully prepared to purchase the sequel on my platform of preference.

I'm sure this one will turn out way better for PS3 owners. Vanquish was great on the PS3.
Can't wait!!! first one was amazing! , get it on 360 if you have one, if not at 20 bucks its' still very decent(and a must have for action fans) for the Ps3…just don't forgot to install the damn thing.

I also picked Bayonetta up on 360. So good. Great gameplay and pure fun from start to finish. Easily one of my favorite games of the year. I am glad I will likely be able to pick up the next one on PS3 though.
OH YEAH!!!!
Show Ninja Theory how it's done!!!
huh?
You all know my gripes about the game so I won't repeat them. Don't be surprised if you see me going through it again on PSN cuz I might go for some trophies and try to enjoy it for what it is. (As I am with FFXIII) I was hoping for DMC quality but alas it was far short.
Tell you what, if they fix up those things I didn't like and make the PS3 version competent enough to get a 9 or above from PSXE I'll give Bayonaise 2 a try.
P.S. I love the word "Bespectacled"
I liked Bayonetta, would have loved it if it wasn't for the crappy PS3 port, it didn't stop me from liking it though. I hold Sega responsible for that. Platinum owned up to that fact and I respect them for that. And if I'm not mistaken the PS3 version sold more copies, so logic dictates that the PS3 would have some extra attention given to it.
With all that said I can't wait for B2 and to get back into that wicked combat engine.
It was obvious Bayonetta is the typical game the generic 360 owner despise.
They were wise doing this a multi (even with the bad quality port) if not it would flop.
I find it odd that VGChartz shows the PS3 as having sold the most. You'd think it would have really flopped from what the critics said about it.
After the patch it becomes a worth experience on Ps3, game still amazing with all the failure, meh Fallout Las vegas has more problems.

New Vegas
Was thinking about picking this up for my 360,since I only have three games for my 360.Does anyone know how much it is new at gamestop?
just go to gamestop's website to check out prices. It is $19.98 and shipping is currently free or us pickup@store. $17.99 on new egg with free shipping and you might want to give ebay a gander.
You should be able to find it used online somewhere for $10 or so. I saw the PS3 version at a Blockbuster used the other day, but even at that price I can't say it's worth it.
cool!
hopefully they put in some combos in there this time, instead of the button masher bayonetta was.
really weird the controls too, in the loading screens you can practise your moves and which move you execute is on the bottomb of the screen.
sometimes you hit square and its red, than you stop wait a few seconds hit again and now its green.
WTF?
hitting the same button should give the same result.
1+1 should always = 2 not this time 2 and next time 32 and the time after that 87 and the time after that -92.
I see Amazon's got it used for $14, and if I ever get it, it'll definitely be used to show my appreciation to these folks for all the time and effort they put into the PS3 version. Still waiting for the price to drop a bit more though.
Temjin001, are the problems that bad?
Im a huge fan of the DMC series (part 3 for me is the hardest game i have played and beat and it was on normal).
Foy my standards, yes. Basically, if I couldn't have played the 360 version I wouldn't have wanted to play the game at all.
And if you're used to the fluidity and smoothness of DMC games then Bayonetta on PS3 would be sure to disappoint.
So if you don't have a 360 I'd suggest going for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 if you haven't already.
=)
