Ben-DutkaOne of this year's most promising downloadable titles has been dated, and as promised, you don't have long to wait before the undead take over the world.
It has been confirmed that Dead Nation will be available on the PlayStation Network on November 30. It'll have a price tag of $14.99 and come complete with a Platinum Trophy for all you Trophy-collecting aficionados. Coming up at the Blog, look for more information on the game's intriguing country vs. country setup as we all battle each other for zombie-slaying supremacy in a worldwide effort to stop the spreading infection. When I say this, I'm talking about the real thing; real players in real countries. Also, they'll reveal a new video soon that will put the game's insane action on display:
"…you’ll be surrounded by more onscreen zombies than you can count complete with per-pixel shadows and lighting, particle effects galore, and realistic ragdoll physics all happening at the same time. Once you’ve seen the worst scenarios Dead Nation has to throw at you, there’s no going back."
Boasting both online and offline two-player action, a decently long campaign, upgradable weapons and armor, and multiple difficulty levels, there's a lot of fun to be had for fifteen bucks. For the record, although we're not allowed to talk about it just yet, I've been playing…and it's pretty sweet. That's all I'll say for now.

Awesome I just started pairing the 1st L4D again and need some zombie action. I have a few demos of PSN titles I've been meaning to get but just bought a few retail games I missed out on. Will be a D1P for me! Then I have to decide if I want GT5 or Brotherhood since I won't be getting the other till Xmas. Hmmm decisions….

This game looked pretty cool, with an adequate atmosphere for a zombie-outbreak-type of game, I'm really looking forward to getting it. Dunno why, but there's a recent surge in zombie-related stuff. Games, mostly, but also The Walking Dead. Really good show.
Yeah dude, I know what you mean about all the zombie stuff lately but it's because everyone loves zombies (and killing them of course).
P.s. The Walking Dead is pretty awesome too. Great show.
Sounds like lots of goodies for a good price. Top-Down though, ick. I'll probably just opt for the madcap mindless Dead Rising 2 a little later on.

I'll pick it up for sure. Though it reminds me a lot of Zombie Shooter, and Zombie Shooter 2 that came out a year or two ago on PC.

i wish sony would release a proper arcade zombie game for the move, house of the dead overkill is one of my favorite wii games!
