Ubisoft has been treating PlayStation 3 owners pretty well lately, what with exclusive betas and downloadable content and all.
Ubisoft has announced free DLC for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood ; it'll be called "Copernicus Conspiracy" and it's exclusive to the PS3 version of the upcoming blockbuster. You can grab this extra content on the same day as the game – November 16 – and this bonus content will give you access to several new missions. Copernicus will give you courier, assassination and protection missions so Ezio can foil the conspiracy against the not-so-mad scientist. Copernicus and his heliocentric theory weren't all that popular at the time; after all, any moron can look up at the sky and see that the sun moves around the earth. DUH. But anyway, this is great news for PS3 owners because any addition to the single-player action is always appreciated. Ubisoft has already said the game will give us quite the satisfying, in-depth campaign but we can always use more missions. Ezio didn't become a legend by sitting around; he needs more stuff to do!
We can't wait for this one. If you require more information, go ahead and visit the game's official website .
im still not getting it. sorry ubi, come back when theres no more screen tearing.
These screen tearing issues should be well solved by now… incredible after the 3rd installation.
I haven't bought into it until the technicals are sorted…
Q!
"play.experience.enjoy"
i'm sorry but, minor issues like screen tearing, texture pop-ins, hiccups or frame rate drops don't keep me from enjoying a great gaming experience…
i still can't believe people put technical flaws over good gameplay mechanics… hell, if the graphics look dated people pass on it… what happened to buying games because you liked playing them??
/rant
The only time I ever noticed any screen tearing with either of the first two games was after I read that it was a big complaint among the elitists, so I sat down in front of the game specifically looking for it. It's trivial, barely noticeable, and by no means should it stop someone from playing games as great as these. Don't be so petty.
I'm with Bones and Gumbi. It's a shame really… I originally avoided both of the titles because of people complaining about the technical flaws. But I GameAccessed (Canadian version of Gamefly) AC2 and it's a freaking amazing game, man.
Booze, man, do yourself a favor and just try out AC2. The technical issues take a huge backseat to the gameplay. CoD:MW2 has technical issues too, ya know… most of which affect the actual gameplay, and you don't have an issue with that but you do minor details in AC2?
Reassess for your own sake, man. AC series is great!
Free dlc?? That's great! Though I wonder why they didn't just throw it onto the BD in the first place. Oh well, who cares. Either way, free AC content is awesome.
"I wonder why they didn't just throw it onto the BD in the first place"
My thoughts exactly
Because this was thought up AFTER the final version was completed?
For the fans let's hope that isn't just to make up for an inferior version. Maybe 360 will get "The Copernicus Supremacy".
Wouldn't that be strange? The DVD version having more content than the BD version… oh man… If that ever happens I'm going to burn some buildings down.
Did you not get my Bourne joke or did you expand on it? I can't tell.
I didn't get it but it was because the idea of the 360 getting a better game blinded me to it.
I see it now. It's damn funny too.
I'm curious if this was an exclusivity buyout deal by Sony–tisk tisk Sony you're beginning to behave like MS =p
Or maybe MS's stand-off'ish policy on dishing out free content prevented it from happening for 360 users.
Here that MS fan boys? You're paying for less.
LESS!
Mayhaps it just wouldn't fit on the DVD, but to pretend that wasn't an issue they made it DLC instead of putting it on the blu ray.
I'd imagine things have to get pretty cramped on a DVD when adding a multi-player mode.
Similarly, Fallout Vegas has far lower resolution textures on 360
Played the beta which was fun and infuriating. If its anything like ACII then it will be awesome, Nov 16 cant come soon enough 🙂
good news for fans of the game. i dont think i'm getting it day 1 though, need more money. since i just finished assassins creed 2 a week ago, theres one question thats at the back of my mind. Which chapters are they holding hostage to be DLC released later?
Just pause the game it will tell you in the DNA thing. It will skip some chapters like it will go to 11 then from 11 it will skip to 17 or something like that.
Bought the first round of dlc for ACII but after that i didnt even bother since its not crucial to understanding the story, just extra missions basically.

Are any retailers vying for my money on this one? I love it when they fight for my money and offer all kinds of discounts and incentives. Haven't see one yet…
There's different editions being made available, but it's more or less country specific. The European version looks to be the best package in my opinion.
And speaking of DLC. Isn't Tuesday PSN update day? Nothing looks new.
Seeing as how the free DLC is only about 1 – 1 1/2 hours of extra gameplay, I really don't see much worth in it. But it's free so can't complain too much I suppose lol.
Free is good, but this is only looking to serve a precedent for more DLC to come down the track. Not entirely unexpected after AC2, but I'm still slightly disappointed. Oh well, something for the PS3 owners. Is it just me, or do we seem to be getting preferential treatment from more than a few devs nowadays? Of course, Bethesda and Activision are yet to come over to our side. Deviations, FTW!
Peace.
sweet!
ubisoft, enough talky talky just release the game already!
god the wait is killing me!!!!!
It's not like they delayed it or anything… Sheesh!
"after all, any moron can look up at the sky and see that the sun moves around the earth. DUH."
uh, it's the earth moving around the sun – duh. hence, heliocentric.
Whenever I hear the word heliocentric, Galileo first come through my mind. Anyway, have you heard that there are individuals who reject the ideas that the Earth isn't really flat and is not the center of the universe? Well, you can see it here: Catholic sect challenges Galileo and the heliocentric model. Catholics of the ultra-conservative Society of St. Pius X diverge from the Vatican's place on geocentrism vs. heliocentrism. This comes in spite of the fact that the Catholic establishment hasn't really supported geocentrism after the 13th century.
