It's coming. Honest to goodness, right hand raised, it's coming. Heck, the developers are just ironing out a few kinks.
According to GamerZines , Gearbox Software says Duke Nukem Forever is "feature complete" and right now, they're just focused on "bug-fixing" and doing some fine-tuning and polishing. Studio vice-president Steve Gibson confirmed all this, and then added a particularly amusing set of comments that certainly rings true.
"We wouldn't bring the game and tell people it's coming otherwise.
With most games once you're about 75% sure it's going to be released, you announce that it's coming during this time, then announce an exact date. With Duke, given the way it is you need to be dead sure. So that's where we're at; we are sure."
Well, the guy's right about that . "Did Not Finish" has had countless release dates and release estimates over the past 13 years or so, and now that Gearbox is so close to the finish line, it all seems so…surreal. We may not have an exact launch date but now, we can say with all sorts of cool certainty that Duke Nukem Forever will show up for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC next year.
Alert the media. Oh, wait…we've been on alert.
