The original wasn't so hot but we're hearing some very good things about the sequel. And remember, RPGs still do give you some serious bang for your buck.

In a recent GamerZines interview with TopWare Interactive's PR & community director Jake DiGennaro, we learn that Two Worlds II will take you a minimum of 25 hours to complete and if you really immerse yourself, it could take well over 40 hours. With so many people often complaining about short single-player campaigns for $60 these days, perhaps this sounds very attractive. Said DiGennaro:

"The main storyline will take players roughly 25 hours to complete, with an additional 15-20 hours of side-questing and exploring. But don't forget there is an entirely separate online co-op campaign, as well as PvP and the highly anticipated 'Village Mode' to keep players busy in the world of Antaloor long after they conquer the single player campaign!"

If you don't already know, Village Mode allows you to own and control one particular location in the fantasy virtual world. As you're the landowner of the area, you must manage resources and defend the citizens; you can even take on new quests and go visit the Villages of other players. And really, don't be too put off by the review scores you see for the first Two Worlds ; the previews for the sequel are really very encouraging and we're hoping for a satisfying RPG experience.

Well, I was going to wonder why I hadn't heard of Two Worlds until I realized that it was a 360/PC exclusive game. I suppose I can hope (base on you guys doing an article) that it's coming to PS3. That said, I don't know . From the quick search I did this seems more like a typical western RPG, and not necessarily my cup of tea as a result.

I think I'll just spend time trying for the 450 synthesis objects in WKC.

Did you play the original Ben? If so, is it any good? I mean, is the sequel likely to be worth a play for an RPG player who's not entirely on-board with western style RPG gameplay?

No, I didn't play the original but that's just because I heard terrible things about it.

And while I do think the sequel will be better, I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't really care much for WRPGs. This is pretty much the epitome of "WRPG" from what I can see.

Thanks. I hope no one concludes that being a WRPG makes it a bad game, but it's definitely not for me. I do hope it turns out well though for those that like those games.

@ highlander

I'd keep an eye on it, it has some aspects that sound like they were taken from WKC, so it might be a good game. I haven't seen enough yet to make my mind up, but I'm definitely watching.

Trust me, you didn't miss much by missing the original. It was such a mess of a game. I heard the PC version had bug fixes and such but the 360 version was absolutely terrible.

Ben I know this is off topic, but i posted about oblivion earlier and I was just wondering if you knew anything about an elder scrolls 5?

Well this sounds fantastic! Having a good RPG is always nice, but defending towns and visiting your friends towns? That's a good time waiting to happen.

Sounds a bit like a WKC kinda thing with the multiplayer. Glad it's coming to the PS3.

I've been trying to find more info about this game, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. All the video's I've found are cinematic, don't show what kind of combat mechanic it will have.

I really hope it's combat is not like oblivion, don't get me wrong I enjoyed oblivion, but the combat is really weak. It's very stiff and unimpressive.

I hope this game turns out well as I've had my eye on it, but I haven't seen enough yet to make me get excited.

I'm keeping my eyes on this game only because I want a game like Oblivion so badly. Hopefully this game will be good because I heard the 1st one was terrible.
