Not only do most big games receive demos in this generation, but due to the explosion of online multiplayer, many also give players beta test opportunities. Therefore, don't be surprised to hear about a public beta for ModNation Racers some time soon.
According to TheGamerAccess , it seems a Sony employee is already involved in a closed beta test for the game that embraces LittleBigPlanet 's concept of "Create, Play, Share." We had heard earlier that a beta test would be forthcoming by December, but there's sometimes no way of knowing if betas will be public or entirely private. We'd really love to get a shot at testing this bad boy, just because we're big fans of the idea: not only can you build your own racetracks piece by piece, but you can also race on them within minutes of completing your creation. Remember that E3 Developer Walkthrough video where the presenter whipped up a completely unique track in mere minutes? If you're a fan of LBP and you've always had the inventive urge within you, ModNation Racers is definitely a game you'll want to try. And if they're already testing it internally, shouldn't we expect an external test at some point in the near future? Last year, we got the PlayStation Home beta (which is always a "beta," really) for a Christmas present; maybe this will show up a little earlier.
In all reality, the "Create, Play, Share" idea is essentially limitless. Therefore, the inherent longevity in a game that adopts this philosophy should be downright insane…as evidenced by the ever-growing LBP. 😉

I will most like be in the beta I've been in all the betas sony has had so far. Currently in the mag beta but its a b&%^& trying to get in the game, it just takes so freakin long for all the data to load up. Yupp I'm looking forward to the modnation beta.
Just curious, what do you mean exactly when you say it takes so long to load? Whenever I get in it hardly takes any time. No more than other games at least.
Agreed, maybe he's talking about the :::Waiting::: which isn't loading or anything, it's for gathering other players, and the spawn count is just their way of timing the beginning of the game.
same i have no problems although spawning sometimes takes a while
Yeah I guess its waiting for all that data to load up it takes forever. Not the actual loading of the game itself, but soon as you boot up the game it goes to this screen where they have mega bites loading.
I really hope I get in…
Hopefully it's not just for those who buy LBP: Game of the Year Edition
This game will be super fun, I can definitely see some epic LEAGUES in this game.
I picked up the goty edition of LBP so its just a matter of time I guess ^_^ still waiting to scratch that code for some modracing awesomeness ^_^
I'm in the same boat. I have a code just waiting to be used.
looks sweet, can't wait to get my hands on this baby.
Buncha spoiled brats this gen! Back in my day we didn't get no freebie demos!
Off my lawn with the lot of ya.

Omg lmao u made my night sooo dam true man wen I was 8 demos had to be received through a dam magazine lol
Or you bought them for 5 bucks 😀
Ah! Playstation 1 <3
SNES days, no demos…
But lotts of renting! 😀
sonys really trying to steal Nintendos thunder lately, i hope they dont forget who and why they are who they are today.
they put 8 days and the getaway 3 on hold for eyepet and now sony UK are saying they have a new casual game.
i was preying once eyepet was done they would go back to 8 days and the getaway 3 but thats looking less likely each day that goes by.
sony, please dont make this a going trend.
how much fun this and LBP can be, there no match for 8 days!
Huh?
Whut?
whaaaa?
Have you seen LBP's reviews?
I love the game to death, and I ain't no "casual gamer"
8 days is fail towards LBP
I don't understand the excessive love for 8 Days (and moaning over its shelving). Did you actually see enough of the game to get a feel for it? I only remember the short "reveal" video, which didn't actually reveal much at all. At least the Getaway had predecessors, so we have an idea what it would be like.

open world cop game> kiddy causal platformer.
I thought it was "Play. Create. Share."? Looking forward to this game and the limitless possibilities including running over sheep. Yeaaaah!
