The God of War Collection will feature the first two GoW titles in stunning high-definition, plus the addition of Trophies and all for the awesome price of $39.99. …oh, that's not enough?
Well, then there's something clinically wrong with you. But perhaps Sony has detected your mental illness because they're tossing another totally bad-ass piece of content into the Collection : the God of War III demo that was revealed on stage at the end of Sony's E3 press conference! This was just revealed over at the PlayStation Blog and we couldn't be happier. If you never got a chance to see that demo in action straight from E3, we've got them both right here for you:
E3 09: Developer Walkthrough Part I
E3 09: Developer Walkthrough Part II
Yup, if you toss down your forty bucks on November 10 to pick up the God of War Collection , you will be able to play that piece of extraordinary interactive mastery you see in those videos. If you need reminding, God of War III arrives on store shelves in March so this should quench your thirst until then. And we have now decided: if you don't eventually have this Collection in your libraries, you really are mentally ill. Seriously.

I already wanted this badly, now I have no choice but to buy it twice :).I bet the First thing everyone is going to do is jump on the demo as will I.
I was buying it anyway, but now it's a day one purchase!
Gotta buy it now.
oh man there goes $40 of my gas money…o well god of war is more important than school
40 bucks for gas or 40 bucks to kick ass?? i think you made the right choice.
You dont need gas anyways as you will be home all the time playing these outstanding games! 🙂
Sony had a hit on it's hands already with just the collection, adding the demo for the upcoming sequel will all but ensure massive sales.
I'm planning on picking it up myself. I have the first one but the second one came during a period where I was stepping back and waiting for the PS3 to come into its own. After that happened I was so busy with new games I hadn't had a chance to go back and pick up GoWII. Was gonna break down and buy it used somewhere, glad I waited now.
This way I get the same great games, but with trophies! lol
Has there been any info as to whether the updated game will be in its orginal 4:3 ratio with some kind of bordering, or have they somehow tweaked the game to fully fit the 16:9 ratio?
It's fully re-rendered in 720p, so (almost certainly) widescreen.

Very Cool, Sony is flexing and girls are swooning! Ha!
KIND OF OFF TOPIC BUT DID ANY1 KNOW THERE IS A LOST PLANET 2 DEMO COMING TO PSN SEPTEMBER 24!
YES I DID!!
no need to shout!
Is there any word on whether or not it will be the same demo as on 360? Either way I have confidence that it will be good. The 360 demo was pretty sweet.
On Topic: I have been thoroughly convinced, not that I was reluctant before but this is just the end game incentive I needed. I will not be playing the demo first though as I have never played either GoW game yet, but given everyone's reactions here I am positive I am going to love them.
It is different.
haha imagi or watev ur name is i was pretty stoked. Coverton- Its a co op demo plus some other arkid extermination thing
its the same demo, but we get 2 extra co-op lvls since we had to wait.
Holy crap… best news of the week! This is really going to put a lot of strain on me, though. Now I don't know what to play first on November 10th; Modern Warfare 2 or this! My head is going to explode!
Dude I feel your pain, Im also gonna be down $100 on Nov 10 :(.
pretty cool, though i got both games only recently dirt cheap,so i doubt i'll get this, no doubt ill get GoW III when its released
YESSSSSSSSSS. EXACTLY what I wanted for Christmas!Well, I WANTED the whole game, but this is a fine substitute. YES!!!!!
I don't see a demo as being a selling point by itself, hence why I don't have GT5 Prologue. Of course that only applies if you're buying the game just for the demo. Makes no sense. However, GoW collection already looked awesome before they announced the demo was included, so the demo just sweetens the deal.
Umm, i think you missed it when Final Fantasy Advent children complete came with Final Fantasy XIII demo which sold a lot. Crackdown with Halo 3 demo, we know how that went. The fact is a demo of a great game is still part of the game so people will eat it up. Not to mention this is north america and i believe God of War is big here, hahaha. Not only are you getting a somewhat updated first and second entry game, you'll also have a piece of Kratos next adventure.
You raise a good point, but I never stated that demos haven't greatly increased the sales of the games/movies they are included with. I was simply stating that, for me, a demo does not qualify as a selling point in and of itself. When I say that, I mean I would never buy one game, just to get the demo of another game. If I buy the game, it's for the game itself, and the demo is just a nice bonus.

Oh man, that was the quickest orgasm I ever had.
and now I'm blind
off topic-btn where did u find ur avatar?
I actually had a pretty good feeling it was going to be in the game. I simply thought that sony wanted people to discover it on their own.
I thought that they were going to put it in as an unlockable extra – i.e. you get it after completing either one or both of the games – that would be discovered very quickly… because there is bound to be one person who would open their mouths after completing both games the first day.
it seemed like they were going to make it a nice surprise to me, but its good to know either way i guess

Now, you're crazy if you don't buy this. This is going to sell huge numbers.
If crazy means not having enough money to buy it, then i'm damn crazy. hahaha
36.99 johnld? 36.99??! How do you not have enough money? GoW I&II are what gaming is all about and you don't have 36.99 for them??? Get outta heeeere.
Already pre-ordered, this is just awesome news!
November 10! That's my birthday! I'm getting a good and joicy present then XD can't wait
We're there dude.
Wow… I mean the thought of gow1-2 on my ps3 was already good enough now I get to sample gow3??? You spoil me devs! Someone out there must love me to pieces lmao ^_^
God of War sweetness just got sweeter.
And I have now decided, I'm getting this collection IMMEDIATELY once it's been released here in the Philippines.
Day one purchase without question. Demo will be nice but that's not what's selling it for me. GoW I&II are epic and at times just unbelievable. Kratos is one of my top two favorite game characters of all time. To those who've played them all I have to say is "Soldier in the cage."
what about the soldier in the cage?
In the immortal words of Dan Forden, "Toasty!
I knew that they were going to do this, they want the fans happy, good job!
