If You Registered For Euro MAG Beta, You WILL Get A Code

It may very well be the most anticipated beta test of the generation and absolutely everyone wants a taste. We found that during our MAG beta code giveaway, when we received about 750 wallpaper submissions in the span of only 72 hours (all codes are gone, by the way).

But if you're in Europe, it's plenty easy to snag a spot in the testing. If you haven't already received one of the 16,000 codes SCEE was giving away, have no fear: you'll get one, so long as you registered. According to TheSixthAxis , European SOCOM and MAG producer Shijima has confirmed that if you registered to get a code before and haven't seen one yet, it will be on its way very, very soon:

"I can confirm that everyone in all regions who registered but never received their code will be sent one over the course of tomorrow, probably by 2-3pm UK time. Furthermore, in an effort to try and do a Quantum Leap (put right what once went wrong), we will be sending out codes to the remaining 20,000-odd people who registered. So, if you managed to register on the site before the competition closed, I am told that you WILL get your code tomorrow."

Yeah, in this particular case, European gamers certainly aren't getting the short end of the stick. And the more people flood into this beta, the more everyone will become psyched for the final product (and the better Zipper Interactive can test the stability of those servers). We'd like to tell you we could just grab another set of codes for everyone here in the US but hey, at least 100 diligent dudes are in 'cuz of us. That's something. 😉

Yea I haven't been able to get on for their server times either, but my friend did and was unimpressed with it. not to mention all I have heard them allow people to play is max 64.

so happy i got mine yesterday.
this is the first time ive ever been in a closed beta.
but than, 7PM-11PM yesterday, 11AM-6PM today to download the friggin thing.
11 hours…. 11 FRIGGIN HOURS! for 298MBs.
O GOD! my ps3 is at it again, the whole reason of getting a slim was to see if it improved my download speeds and it did till last night.
christ it would be faster downloading a file
through dial up!
and im not done yet….. still have the update to do, god knows how long that will take.
cyas once the games out 😉

Where you at? I'm in the UK and that first initial 298mb file came down in less than 5 mins. You sure it is not your connection/wifi causing the issue?

im from Australia.
its STILL going.
its at 900MBs now 26+ hours after i started.
god by the time this is finished, the final game will be out.
somethings not right, i had this problem with my old ps3.
weird!
i can have 2 laptops, 1 PC, 1 360, 2 Iphones hooked up via wireless no drop outs downloads lightning fast.
both ps3s i have had have had dead slow download speeds, wired or wireless.
sony does not want to know, may be i should get a guy from optus to come in and configure my router and ps3 properly.
just to much of a coincidence, both ps3s having the same problem but nothing else.

If you know how I would put your PS3 into a DMZ on your router to see if that helps.

If you are on a cable line you could try to plug your PS3 directly to the cable modem so it is the only thing on the connection to see if that changes the speed. If it makes things better, then your router is not setup correctly. Try to enable upnp and its features if available.
