Ben-DutkaIt almost seems inevitable that the 250GB PS3 Slim is on the way; if you don't believe it, here's more evidence (even if it might disappoint North American gamers).
This here is exactly what it appears to be: a leaked image of the supposedly impending Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 250GB PS3 Slim package, which is just plain sweet . Now, according to Engadget , there are no confirmed details, but there is the belief that such a bundle would hit store shelves either for the game's launch – October 13 – or later in the holiday season (perhaps early November, when the rumored Gran Turismo 5 bundle is scheduled). But after getting in contact with SCEA, it appears we come across a few more pieces of info; they said there are no bundles being planned for North America, but Europe is another story. Unfortunately for our US readers, this does gel with recent updates; all those PS3 Slim bundles revealed earlier did come from a European source. However, it would seem ridiculous to avoid releasing any bundles here in North America, because after all, you can still buy the 160GB PS3 packaged with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune .
Maybe Sony will clear all this up at the Tokyo Game Show later this month and if they do and US gamers really are left out in the cold…well, there could be some backlash.

The picture that you are showing came from a Best Buy out of Florida before they were asked to take it down. I just looked at over 35 different sites with PS3 250GB Bundles on them to try and find out a price and a release date. I just thought you might be interested to know that information. If Sony says "No Bundles this Xmas" maybe that is the case. I also read that of those 35 different sites visited that they are going to talk about it at the Tokyo Game Show.
I'm dying to replace my broken ps3 with a slim but I was waiting to see if Sony did a good game+console bundle.This definitely qualifies since the game being bundle is a multiple outlet GOTY award winner;).Hopefully this comes to NA as soon as the U2 release date so I won't be too late to the party.
If the bundle would cost $299 then yeah, waiting would be the best option but if it's priced $399 then I guess, buying a PS3 slim and a copy of U2 will be cheaper and if they do not announce it at TGS or gets released after the launch of Uncharted 2 coming October then you'll also get to play it the day the game is launched (assuming you buy this day 1). Regardless, good luck with your purchase. I'll also buy me a slim as soon as I get back to states 🙂
Sony would do good if they sold a couple of bundles at a time with color matching consoles. They could change them quarterly or every six months.

Actually, those dates are the Japanese dates.
With the time difference, Kaz's (10:30 A.M., Sept 24 Japan time) speech will be at 6:30 P.M. PST/9:30 P.M. EST on Sept 23.

Well I'm pretty sure this is coming to the US cause it is rated by the ESRB and as mentioned it was aparently a photo from a US store. Hopefully it does come because I was thinking about picking up a slim and this would be the one for me.
"Backlash" over a lack of bundles? I doubt it. Go buy a PS3 if you don't have one already, then buy the game……you know, make your own bundle.
Cool bundle. But I want the prestige or any other Limited Edition Uncharted game copies instead.

Microsoft is doing pretty much the same thing as Sony these day, if my mathematics is correct, Sony cuts the price of the ps3 by 100 so does Minisoft, Sony is going to release a 250GB bundle so is M$oft with a MW2 250GB bundle, whats next free Xbox Live.
Haha xbox live won't be free! microsoft are money whores. They make a huge profit from xbox live, after tasting the cash i doubt they will ever go back.

I guess M$ft doesn't have its own AAA game to bundle with the 360 this year. Sony, however, has a plethora of options.
They would b stupid if they left the USA out of this bundle offer or do they think it wont sell as well as in Europe?
I can't imagine them not releasing some great bundles in the US for the holiday season. That would just be insane.
…especially since Sony is going to want something to put up against the CoDMW2 250G 360 bundle.

uncharted is the flagship of the PS3 brand… it's the most recognizable series, it's most critically acclaimed series, and one of it's best sellers… they would be idiots not to release this in america…

I love Uncharted probly my fav game…but its not most recognizable series at all…the first one was poorly advertised!!! seriously…they need to push Uncharted 2 advertise everywhere!! start doing it now!
I want to see Drake on a 20ft billboard, this is a huge gem of a game for Sony and it's is about time they start showing it off.
"Wow this looks like a real deal, it will be most likey priced at $400 because usually Sony bundels their better bundle at least $100 more than the core bundles!!!"
The reason Europeans get this sweet deal is because they appreciate the Playstation brand more than we do. Is really sad that Madden will outsell Uncharted 2 here in America.

Uncharted: DF (c. 2.5M) outsold every PS3 Madden (09 = c. 1.6M) and every PS3 FIFA (09 = c. 2.25M), though not PS3 and 360 combined, nor did it outsell Madden in NA or FIFA in Europe. I'd bet Uncharted 2 will outsell both Madden 10 and FIFA 10 on PS3, but possibly not in each region. It might, though.

Theres no way Uncharted will outsell fifa here in the UK or Europe…football or as you call it soccer is to popula…I would love for Uncharted to sell more but its not going to…i think it could be best selling exclusive on Ps3…maybe?
