We're just starting to come down from the high generated by Sony's GamesCom 2009 press conference where they announced the long-awaited PlayStation 3 price cut and PS3 Slim. But hey, we're only a few weeks from an even bigger event…
Going strictly by attendance numbers, the Tokyo Game Show is almost always the most popular industry show on earth every year. We believe we're in store for even bigger announcements and revealings, and there should also be plenty of new software announcements, too. The first teasing has come from Capcom's camp, as according to a recent Twitter update , they're "hard at work on Tokyo Game Show plans." They do plan to release fresh news for Lost Planet 2 , Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Dead Rising 2 , and we're hoping that release dates for each will be announced. For our part, we're still hoping to see an unveiling for Devil May Cry 5 ; we absolutely refuse to believe they're not working on a new installment in that franchise, and we want it. We're also interested to learn more about Dead Rising 2 , which is coming to the PS3 and should be a bunch of bloody fun; a guilty pleasure that could be well worth the price of admission. Capcom also mentions some "new games for Japan." What might those be…?
The Tokyo Game Show runs from September 24 – 27 and there's every possibility that other big software news is coming our way. At the top of our list is the announcement of a 2009 launch date for Gran Turismo 5 …
I can't wait what other big news are coming. I'm pretty sure we'll get a release date of GT5 of some sort. The GamesCom Sony news are so overwhelming, it pretty much stole the whole show. I have a gut feeling that Sony still has more up their sleeves.

I'm afraid Lost Planet 2 and all that other stuff is not gonna make the cut. Not unless it gets better reviews than the games mentioned above. Dead Rising 2 and Devil May Cry 5 might make my wanted list, but might not have time if too busy with all these other unbelievable games coming out.

Man with Uncharted 2, MW2 and Halo 3 ODST coming out I don't think Ill have enough money to get Dead Rising 2 & DMC 5. Oh well Ill just have to get em next year(if they don't release latter this year).
We can always use more Halo. 😉

I doubt DMC5 is coming this year. It just doesn't have enough time to advertise and hype for Holiday 09.

The only game thy Crapcom is bringing that I hold any interest in is Tetsunoko Vs Capcom. Can't wait to play Karas. A little bummed they decided to use the model from MegaMan Legends though. I prefer the original MegaMan from Marvel Vs Capcom and the early MegaMan series. I didn't care much for Legends.
Lost Planet 2 looks better then the 1st but after Resident Evil 5 I'm not so sure I'll get anymore of their PS3 games new. That game was a let down for me. Plus Crapcom always locks their save files. So annoying.
Capcom has a long history.

I'm most looking forward to Tatsunoko Vs Capcom and Dark Void. I would also love to see a new Darkstalkers game but that might be asking for too much.

I'd love to hear news about Darkstalkers, a possible new D&D arcade game to go with the previous two, a new Marvel vs Capcom would be nice, MEGA MAN!!, a new Puzzle Fighter, Ghosts 'N Goblins, a new Gunsmoke would also be nice, Breath of Fire maybe, Final Fight maybe, or a new Steel Battalion, and how about a Monster Hunter for PS3 instead of just PSP. Would love to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but it's Wii only for now. Unless you can find an imported arcade machine.

I'm interested on Dead Rising 2, the first was really fun. I will be getting the 2nd for sure.(on ps3 of course) I hope Capcom has some footage or information on resident evil psp. But what tops my list for a TGS appearance is Tecmo's Quantum Theory. It looks like a really good third person shooter, hope we get some news on it and *fingers crossed* a release date.
Capcom is dead to me this gen. Unless they release a new Onimusha or Breath of fire and make it a ps3 exclusive. Don't ask me why it has to exclusive, (when the storage medium on the other console is clearly holding back the potential of the ps3). It's plenty cheap now. There's no reason not to own one (unless you're a MS fanboy)
I'm with you. Capcom hasn't done anything great this gen. I bought a PS3 when I watched those first teasers for RE5. Then when they announced it would go multiplat I knew that would spell disaster. Sure enough it did. As for any PS3 exclusives coming from Capcom, Ill see it when I believe it when I see it. They are so in the tank for M$ this gen. With their stupid timed exlusives and exclusive demos and obvious pandering to the xbot base with their little red xbox/RE5 bundles. Pathetic. The xbox held back what ever RE5 could have been and it was obvious because we got an inferior version. Frame rate problems and lower texture resolutions. Sven promised the game wouldn't be possible to finish in under 18 hours. LIE! I finished it in 12 hours my 1st play through and in 3 on a speed run. After that piece Crapcom died in my mind. Some people have even claimed RE5 killed their PS3. Don't know true that is but I wouldn't put it past it. My PS3 froze quite a bit while playing RE5 and soon after I had to send it incto Sony to get the Blue Ray drive replaced. Happened to a buddy of mine too. Unless capcom releases something bif and exclusive, I'll never respect them again. Oh and let's not forget about the trolls and the arsehole moderators on Crapcom-unity. That place is infested with Xbot trolls. Some of them eve work for capcom.

This is completely off-topic but good news. According to the La Times, Sony will be using tv ads for what they say "repositioning the ps3". They say they seen 2 of the commercials sony will air in the US, the first is about Sony touting the ps3 as the "greatest gaming, blu-ray playing, movie downloading system around." The. 2nd is about a teen trying to use the ps3 for playing video games but can't because his grandma is using it to download movies off the ps store.
The 2nd is weird but hey we will finally see some ps3 commercials. The LA TIMES also said that Sony has commercials for the avid gamers, but mainly for "moms and kids/casuals". They also said that this is there most "fierce and costliest" ad campaign for the ps3 since launch.

i hope they do announce DMC5 but this time they better not port it over to the crap box or im going to be pissed.
and this time please bring vergil back, i dont understand what the ^%$# was going through there mind with DMC3.
vergil is the brother to the main character the story line revolves arround him, its like having GOW without titans, or gears of war without dom, or mario brothers without luigi.
seriously DMC4 was allot of fun as usual but the story was fu**ed up big time, they really dissapointed me.
hopefully this will answer some questions like who the ^%$^ is nero, how he got his arm, what he has to do with dante.
and this time for the love of god dont have dantes missions a repeat of neros, ok im done nitpicking DMC4 but i seriously cant understand why they did what they did.

DMC4 almost dident feel like DMC at all.
the series had been going downhill ever since DMC, the first was brilliant the second was good but repetitive the 3rd had a waked storyline and four wasent even DMC.
the news that cuaght my eye, dmc5? that'd be tough. especially with NGS2 and MGS risin. i assume rising is this genre.
