November is a pretty full month – as usual – and Activision has no qualms about making it a little fuller.

While many publishers have decided to push their promising titles out of 2009 and into 2010 to avoid competing with the guaranteed blockbusters (several of which come from Activision), the latter publisher doesn't have any problem with their own titles battling for position. According to GameSpot , it has been confirmed that Blur will be headed to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 3. This date applies to North America; the game will launch in Europe three days later (there's that three days gap again) on November 6. Developer Bizarre Creations was responsible for the popular and critically acclaimed racing franchise Project Gotham Racing , which was exclusive to the Xbox. Then, Activision snapped 'em up and not surprisingly, Blur is a multiplatform title. This game will feature 50 licensed cars, real-world locales, and a variety of bad-ass power-ups to make your intense racing experience that much more entertaining. If something like Gran Turismo isn't your bag and you spent a great deal of time with games like Burnout Paradise , then you should definitely give Blur a chance.

Of course, as we just said, there are many other great titles scheduled for November, so you'll have to decide where Blur ranks on your priority list. Perhaps it's best suited to the holiday wish list…?

I cant see this game being as popular as GT5 or NFS: Shift. 50 cars just doesnt seem enough compared to GT5's endless roster.

I'd rather get Split Second over this game.

This one is not on my immediate buy list but I might get it once Target clearances it out for $12.48. I've got NfS: Shift coming soon and that will occupy some of my time before GT5 comes along. Didn't Arnold give a mini preview on this game that rated it mediocre, at best?

But NFS: Shift is more of a sim with good physics so you won't really have an arcade racer when GT5 hits ^_^

Yeah Arnold did say Blur was pretty bad.

Oh I already have some arcade racers that I still enjoy. Burnout Paradise, PixelJunk Racers, GRID, etc.

if anything is a ridge racer wannabe its forza or GT.
ridge racer is a track racing game, a racing simulator.
arcade racers and track racers are two very very very different games.
one being i can actually win races in arcade racers, i always take corners to fast.
drifting is to much fun!

is there going to be cop chases?
thats the one thing missing from burnout paradise.
i love that game, its the best arcade driving game.
better than any NFS or any MC game.
thats the only thing i like about NFS games, running away from the cops and seeing how many cop cruisers i can total in a set time limit.
if its a open world game like burnout paradise, with jumps to boot im all over it.
