We'll tell you about any big news concerning Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (after all, it's our most anticipated game of 2009), but if you want to keep tabs on everything from fresh updates to new media, you'll need additional help.

All you gotta do is head over to the hotly anticipated title's official site , which just launched. There, you can peruse one of the game's multiplayer co-op levels (found in the earlier beta) known as the Nepal Warzone, and examine the latest and greatest. You can either search around for the shiny objects, which will lead you to other parts of the site, or you can simply maneuver with the menu at the bottom. Right now, there are some screenshots we've never seen, several great trailers, and a forum, where you can all get together and drool over the game in question. Also, Naughty Dog has revealed the total number of participants who tested out that aforementioned beta: 130,543, and 63% of those testers were from the U.S. There will be a multiplayer demo in September; if you place your pre-order at GameStop, you can get in on the 9th, but if not, you have to wait until the demo goes public on the 30th. You know you want a taste of the action before the final launch!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is slated to release on October 13, and we can pretty much guarantee it'll be a legitimate Game of the Year contender.

130,000 players… wow, i usually never saw more than 800 on at a time… those are some pretty impressive numbers for a closed beta though…

Anticipation for this game is building….Between Wipeout Fury, Uncharted 2 R&C, Madden and Soul Calibur : Broken Destiny, I have no idea how I will be playing anything else between now and Christmas….And I really am looking forward to Tekken 6 and NGS2.

Yeah I enjoyed the beta quite a bit. It's like….GTAIV multi-player with the ability to climb. What's not to like? And with expected/promised DLC to follow, it'll only get better. And with the promise of a sick storyline that appears to rival/exceed the first. I'm totally down.

This game is going to be huge. Anyone who's played the first one will be hard pressed to not get this one on day one. Looking forward to the online co-op for sure!

OH MAN I LOOKED AT SOME GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE OF DRAKE'S FORTUNE AND IT WAS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!
Though something bugs me……you can shoot even if you're not in aiming mode?
That's wasting bullet if you ask me since you don't aim.

I was in the multi-player beta and it was alot of fun. But I am looking forward to the single player more.

The first Uncharted was so engaging with a great story….I hope the second one continues this and maybe goes a little deeper.

I always felt this is one title that really doesn't need MP and GTAIV should never have done MP either. Some games just don't need it. DeadSpace and R&C …I'm looking at you.

Agreed.

Prior to playing the beta, I was personally hoping for an expanded SP game, and leaving MP off.

After experiencing the MP beta, I will welcome Uncharted 2 even more.
