Before I introduce these controllers you see here, forgive me for going on a bit of a rant.
While it's certainly true that Japan still gets things that we never see here in North America, I simply can't understand why we're so limited in terms of color options when it comes to video game hardware and accessories. Why ? What poll proved that Japanese gamers are more interested in multiple cosmetic choices than American gamers? How much more money does it really take to colorize something and just send it our way? Japan has like 73 colors to choose from when it comes to the PSP, for example, and we've got like 2. Well, anyway, end rant and here are two new PlayStation 3 controllers that are indeed coming to the US…and you can see why. They're "Deep Red" and "Metallic Blue," which may or may not indicate the arrival of same-colored PS3s. According to Engadget , Sony will have these controllers ready to go in October, so maybe you can add one to your holiday wish list. Hey, I don't mind black (that's classic), and both silver and white are just fine, but there's nothing wrong with adding some more vibrant colors to our entertainment centers.
Hmm…maybe they'll offer the PS3 Slim in Deep Red or Metallic Blue. Maybe we'll get that announcement at the Tokyo Game Show. …maybe we're all on pins and needles awaiting that announcement.
