If you missed out on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and have always regretted it, you'll get a second chance this fall.

As Joystiq reports, LucasArts has announced the "Ultimate Sith Edition" of The Force Unleashed , and this special release will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. It will boast two new levels; one is set on Tatooine and features Darth Vader's apprentice doing battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi (you'll even visit Jabba the Hut along the way). The other level will take you to the planet of Hoth at a later date, and the more capable apprentice will throw down with Luke Skywalker. Now, if you already own the game, you'll be happy to know that the Tatooine quest will become available as downloadable content at some point. However, the Hoth mission will remain exclusive to this special "Ultimate Sith Edition," which will also include any and all previously released DLC for the game. Now, despite the title not quite achieving elite status amongst critics, it still managed to become the fastest-selling "Star Wars" game of all time and has now sold over 6 million copies. …yep, it's a cult phenomenon that will never die.

We don't have a finalized date and price for this new edition yet, but we assume that'll be announced before the summer is over. Stay tuned for the concrete release info.

Man this game was a disappointment, the force wasn't unleashed, it was let out in a lame sputter and cough.

Doubt the sales will spike much with the new edition.

Trophies?

The answer to that question will determine if I buy this or not. Love all things Star Wars, but the lack of trophies for me equals no purchase now.

It was an ok game it had some cool powers and could have been a lot better. But considering the fact that it didnt have any multiplayer it was very short and not even worth the money. The story was pretty good though.

I loved Force Unleashed. Yeah, there were a few problems, could've been improved in some areas, but it was still a good game.

I wonder if it really is worth trading in my old PS3 copy towards the Sith Edition? Duking it out against Obi Wan and Luke sounds pretty sweet.

A friend of mine had the Wii version, which was ridiculously sub-par. I've heard the PS3/360 version was better, but never tried it. Probably worth renting sometime I suppose.

All Wii versions (besides RE:4) are subpar.

the demo was fun but sadly i've been unable to pick up an games due to lack of extra income…and any money i can manage to save up is going to Bioshock 2 and Arkham Asylum…

I had fun with this game. I borrowed it from my friend and I even paid for DLC myself. I could be missing something, but after I completed the game twice on the hardest level (one good, one bad ending), I don't get rewards for anything. I find that kinda disappointing. I think I probably will buy this DLC too…

This game could have been pretty awesome. The last batch of DLC was kinda mediocre. I get the impression George Lucas doesn't play games or he is easily impressed with anything remotely resembling Star Wars. Maybe he's getting to old to show the same passion for these games that he had for the original trilogy of movies.

Why LucasArts? WHY?!

Just stay focused on TOR and I'll forgive you for this game.

bioshock 2?
we aint going to see that for a while, im guessing april 2010 at the earliest.
i loved TFU a little short but what game isent these days, took me around 7 hours to complete.
ive been praying for another TFU game, but how long will it be?
theres 2 extra lvls but how long will they go for?
if they think im spending another 100 AUD or whatever its going to be for an extra hour of gameplay theve got another thing coming.
i wish they would stop with the DLC and make a full fledged sequal as the apprentice but evil.

This will have trophies. It MUST have trophies…no?

If I find out this release doesn't have trophies because of some "well it's just a bundle of an old game that didn't have trophies" nonsense, then you'll be seeing me in the LucasArts forums with the rest of the angry customers.

This game was a big disappointment, the controls sucked the game play was way to slow and the game it's self was to short. the graphics were good but I agree with Worldendswithme the force was defently not unleashed. Lucasarts needs to focus on getting me another star wars battle front game

Trophies ARE mandatory now…can they get by being it has already been approved? I'm guessing no, since the new content has to get approved. They'd look retarted if they didn't patch the orginal game and only had trophies for the DLC.

Trophies announced = instant sales. I'm sure they seen the sales spikes from other titles who have released patches for trophies.

i picked up a copy of the force unleased, brand new, from my local gamecrazy at the amazing price of $15 on the same day inFamous launched. i still haven't cracked it open – too many other games to play – but i knew at that price it was worth the purchase

TFU was a fun game, I just couldnt justify buying it when it was that short a game.

it always was a rental, and I dont see this development changing that.

I'm going to get this; I loved the demo and I love star wars, but I think they need another Battlefront and Republic Commando for the PS3. I have The Force Unleashed on the PSP but I liked the PS3 one so much better.

i might trade in the old for this one, especially if they have trophies…during the first midnight release i wore a complete darth vader costume and won the 20 gift card prize.

Personally, I thought the game was awesome. But the DLC has always been overpriced and I guess it's not above them to make a new edition with one exclusive level. That's just ridiculous.

one thing this game has is severe invisible wall syndrome.
every single time i try to jump ontop of something i fall off, i walk into gaps to run into a invisible wall.
this is particularly annoying since allot of the hollicons require to use something as leverage.
