When PlayStation Home first launched back in December, most of us loved the concept but acknowledged that it had a long way to go. Well, less than 8 months later, Home has now expanded to something that a great number of people can enjoy for extended periods of time.

Just look at what they added today: the update includes a Buzz! Quiz TV space complete with its own mini-game (this game series is massively popular in Europe, by the way), an EA Club Fight Night space with a DJ and some boxing mini-games, a Namco Museum space for all you nostalgia lovers out there (arcade machines included!), and a Namco theater space. But it doesn't end there. If you wander into the Mall today, you will immediately notice the new look and feel of the establishment; Sony has redone the storefronts and overhauled the music, and of course, they've gone and added lots of new items and clothes for most of the virtual retailers. For complete information on this significant update, visit the PlayStation Blog ; they're talking about 64-player Buzz! tournaments and arcade hits like Dragon Spirit and Xevious that come with Namco Museum Essentials , which you can purchase from the PSN. You really need to go exploring in Home if you haven't visited in a few months, as the updates have been large and frequent. You gotta hand it to the developers; they've continued to expand on a great idea.

And even if none of this interests you, the best part about Home is that eventually, you can be assured that something will interest you. Who knows how huge it will be in a few years time…?

Sweet. I'll be on later today to check out the updates. It's been a couple weeks since I've been on Home.

Nice.

I wish people who bash Home would stop and think for a moment. Home is free, you don't have to buy anything, and yet you can play dozens(?) of free mini-games, as well as have a meeting place/social space for your gaming friends. I just don't understand why anyone turns down free games, and free services.

I don't check it out very often because I'm lucky enough to be able to afford to keep myself in games most of the time, but I still think Home is a great space because not everyone can always buy the hottest new games and there may be some time between finishing a game and getting a new one. So hey, why not tool around Home and play the minigames and make friends for the next upcoming multiplayer title?

And yeah, its friggin FREE and nothing is more popular at the moment than social networking. When I do go in there though, its always full! So it can't be that poorly recieved. I think it needs more press.

PS: Xevious man, awesome game, nuff said.

Yeah, I almost never go on, but some friends of mine met up with me to play Texas Hold 'Em in the Godfather space, and that was cool.

The 64-player Buzz tournaments sound neat, too. ūüôā

I made a Nasty Looking guy and no one talked to me! He might have looked like Sasquatch but he was a person too! F-Home!!!

I know those girls in there are really dudes and I'd still be dancing by myself.

Is it possible to actually get into a multiplayer minigame yet?

And by that I mean without having to sit and wait for a good portion of an hour or more, watching, and clicking at exactly the right time because there's only 4 instances of the game total to service millions of users, and there isn't even a queuing system.
