The Los Angeles Lakers are NBA champions, which is why it was probably a good idea to place Kobe Bryant on the cover of NBA 2K10 . But for next season, if you really want to go all out, you need the special collectors edition.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the franchise, this special package will feature an actual 2K Sports game storage locker with a combination lock (max capacity: 20 games), an exclusive McFarlane Toys Kobe Bryant figurine, a 16"x36" Kobe poster, an anniversary video that backtracks through the NBA 2K series, and access to the Gold Room and VIP online lobby in the game. Is that enough? Considering what you get, the price isn't that outlandish – $99.99 – but it'd be wise to remember that a whole lot of Collectors editions will hit store shelves later this year. Perhaps you'll have to be selective; do you want this massive bundle or the one that's slated to drop for Assassin's Creed II ? Well, we leave the decision to you, but for NBA followers, there likely won't be a better option unless EA steps up with something big for NBA Live 10 . That's a competition that has raged for a decade and although 2K Sports' effort has often taken the crown, EA has been charging as of late.
NBA 2K10 is set to launch this October, which is good timing for the upcoming 2010 season. If you're a fan of a team that has no hope of reaching the finals ('cough' T'Wolves 'cough'), maybe you can build 'em up in the game.

I'm getting it for the locker. If they sell it separate, they could make a lotta $$$.

T'Wolves? Too bad Rubio may not be playing this year.
You got something with Jefferson and Love though.
And yeah that locker is sweet.
Cavs all the way!

Sweet. I'm getting this one for sure.
Hey Ben, sorry this is off topic but have u heard anything on Sony's Vidzone?
I am not too big a fan of 2k basketball games(or EA's) but I am a Kobe fan and a fan of that sweet locker so I'll be all over this.
Too bad they ruined it for me by putting Kobe on the cover! I would really like that locker!
I so agree. If the figure and poster would have been of a player of higher moral fiber I would have made an impulse buy.
@Frenchy17 & thepill
You guys Orlando Magic fans?
@JDHeXen, No I'm not a big Orlando fan, I'm from Detroit. I'm just not a supporter of a guy that CHEATS on his wife and @$$-rapes a hotel employee( allegedly ). They could have went with Lebron, or since it's an anniversary edition, just a pic of the Larry O'Brien trophy ( That would have been real class ).
Well Kobe did get all of his sponsors back and his Jersey is a top seller which sells more than the person you mentioned "Lebron".Adding to all of that he recently got the finals MVP so it's a duh move to put him on the cover. If a big company like Nike and many NBA fans don't care about his past why should 2ksports.The people that care about Kobe's old sh!t from the past are the same who care about MJ's.
I always buy the EA games of NBA for my psp and ps2 and I'm wondering if the 2k games are better than the EA games. Could anyone give me an idea which is better between the two?
Damn, I wish I liked basketball games. That locker is looking SWEET. But it makes me wonder, will it hold the blu-ray cases that ps3 games come in???
Actually I take that back, by the looks of it, the cases in the locker almost look like ps3 cases. Note the red stripe all the way to the left of the cases.
