For those of you in the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer beta, you've already spotted a few a things that need fixing, right? Well, that's why they call it a "test."
Anyway, you'll be happy to know that Naughty Dog is already hard at work on a few tweaks that will – ideally – continue to make the multiplayer experience better and better during the course of the beta. And it appears they've already pinpointed a few major bugs: first, there was an issue that caused your PlayStation 3 to suddenly restart when you close the beta down, and while it doesn't impact the beta play, it's still annoying. As of now, they've already made a change to the competitive multiplayer; the rounds used to run only to 25 kills, and now the goal is 50 (clearly for the benefit of longer matches). They've upgraded the Plunder matches, too; instead of 3 "captures" to win, it is now 5. The updates and fixes won't end here, of course, because Naughty Dog isn't about to ignore us when we're testing one of the most promising games of the generation so far. For our part, we very much enjoy the beta and while it's clear that it's a tad bare-bones, it's still a ton of fun. We also have tremendous faith in the developers, so we're not too worried about the issues we've seen.
If you haven't scored a spot in the beta yet, you're definitely missing out. There are only two maps and two game modes to select from, but the overall entertainment factor always remains high. Stay tuned for our impressions coming this week.

I noticed the shutdown issue when playing the beta as well. This is definately a must have game just from the beta alone.
I had the same issue. My PS3 actually freezes when I tried to exit. Asides from the minor technical issues, the game itself is awesome.
They also need to fix the friendly fire on Co-op. I've had this happen several times when I played it with some retard, he would kill everyone right when it started with a grenade. Man that is so annoying!
I think the friendly fire only applies to explosives, which is about normal.
Yeah I played co-op with 2 retards who were just trying to kill me instead of trying to finish the objectives. Luckily, in the area where you need to get the RPG to advance, they were killing each other by throwing grenades and finished off all their 3 tries, and I was left alone with the army. In some of the most exhilarating few minutes of my life, I managed to finish them off alone(yeah I know I'm boasting, but it's very rare for me to be better than anyone else in multiplayer XD).
Of course they came back in the next section and were up to their stupid ways and we failed the mission in no time! 🙁
Oh, and friendly fire applies to guns too
Yeah, this is lots of fun. It took me a minute to get used to it. It seems like it moves really slow. But, after the initial adjustment, it's great. I'm really loving the plunder mode.
Did anyone else do the puzzle on the playstation blog that could win you a beta code and a swag bag? I wonder how long it took for 300 people to get the correct answers.
I just pre-ordered infamous, two birds with one stone. The Beta is pretty fun, I just wish there were more maps. Of course the 2 provided are still a blast! If anyone cares to play on a team send me an invite, MOGUNS82.
I'm loving the beta. I'm really glad they made matches longer as it was pretty annoying have to search for a compatible game every 5-10 minutes.
I also find the grenade TKers very annoying, though I usually get out of range quick enough.
Easily the most awesome beta I've been in (only been in Home and LBP betas besides).
I'd love them to give us more than just a partial co-op level to test, though. The co-op is just too too cool!

That comment holds no weight for me because you say that about every beta my friend 🙂
Yeah, well, it was all true at the time!! 😀

I noticed that when you toggle the shoulder view while aiming with the left analog stick, it doesnt stay switched to over the left shoulder. once you stop aiming it defaults back to the right shoulder when you aim again. It didnt do that in Drakes Fortune. it remembered which side you toggled too. I hope they fix this. they need to allow more button configurations too in the retail version. its quite hard going from MGS4 to Drakes Fortune even though they play similar. Id like to be able to map the button layout to something closer to MGS4. I like the right analog stick for switching views like in MGS4 and Infamous more then the left like in Drakes Fortune. It gets confusing when trying to play th 3 games. a button to toggle from 3rd person to 1st person while aiming would have been nice too. Do they take feed back? maybe they will consider these suggestions?

The toggling of the shoulders is a really great point. When you first log in to the beta, they give a web address to leave feed back.
great thanks!
Did either of you catch the typo in the little message when you first sign in? They are "activility" working on that matchmaking… *grins*

Ha! no. i didnt notice it. too funny.
Personally more interested in the single player and co-op.
"first, there was an issue that caused your PlayStation 3 to suddenly restart when you close the beta down"
Yep, that was annoying. Glad that they've fixed it though.
did they fix it already?
