The lack of available PS3 launch titles in Japan was a borderline insult, and unfortunately, another anticipated title has hit a little snag.
Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that they've been forced to delay MotorStorm , the hectic off-road racer that includes everything from dirt bikes to big ol' trucks. Initially set for a December 7 release, the game has been pushed back one week to December 14. While certainly not severe and perhaps not even significant, it's just more waiting time for Japanese gamers.
Concerning a reason for the small delay, Sony would only cite production-related issues. At the same time, this move places MotorStorm alongside Armored Core 4 on Dec. 14, so maybe Sony is just trying to create a big day for Japanese PS3 owners.
As for North American gamers, we have to wait until 2007 before MotorStorm arrives, but at least ours will come complete with online play enabled. The Japanese release of the game won't feature that option.
