We've only seen snippets of the game in action, and while we do have a decent amount of information, we haven't seen a big unveiling that drops everyone's jaws.

Well, this should be the week. Not only are we told to expect a whole horde of details to arrive on the PlayStation Blog on Friday, but it seems GameTrailers TV will break the media embargo by a few hours and toss up some brand new footage of Heavy Rain on Thursday, May 21. The last time we saw any video of this game was at last year's Leipzig convention; you can check it out if you haven't seen it already. Spike TV's website says that "GTTV gets a behind the scenes look at the cinematic PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain ," and it doesn't get much clearer than that, so mark your calendars! Many are hoping that Quantic Dream's ambitious title will not only utilize the PS3's immense capabilities, but will also provide gamers with a very unique style of gameplay. Those of you who remember the likes of Indigo Prophecy will recall the emphasis on story and atmosphere…you can most certainly expect the same from Heavy Rain . We'd just like a more robust and engaging gameplay mechanic, that's all.

So anyway, keep your eyes and ears peeled this week for anything new concerning this highly anticipated exclusive. And don't forget that it could make a big splash at E3, too!

I think people are going to be seriously disappointed with this game. It is not – though I hope I'm wrong – going to be an all inspiring new genre of gameplay.

For the longest time I had no idea what Heavy Rain even was. I'm mostly an RPG & fighting game dude so I never cared. But recently I saw some footage on Youtube and now I have to say this is my most wanted game this year. Can't wait to see some more footage!

Me too. What we've seen so far is definitely intriguing, but… I don't really understand what this game is about! It appears to be the kind of new genre game we all are clamoring for. I hope it lives up to expectations.

I hope it is entirely formulated upon atmosphere and story. This is what this gen has lacked alot of.

Where are the Shemues, Silent Hill's (No not the butchered new one), Broken Swords, Shadow Of Memories etc?

More ART, less commercialism. It's what most of the entertainment industries need.

I'll second that. I'm getting tired of flying through games in a week. I'm really looking forward to an engaging, memorable story. Games like that a few and far between.

A sequel to Shadow of Memories (or Shadow of Destiny depending on where you live) would be amazing. That game was great.

I can't wait to see how they managed to have the death of the main character not end the story.

You think the the game will automatically go into flashbacks and prequels? nah

In the movie Phycho it doesn't go back in flashbacks and prequels, you sure you're thinking of the same movie? Classic Alfred Hitchcock? It keeps going, and the killer goes on to take care of the detective among others. Imagine if you took the role of the killer…

I've got to say that Heavy Rain was truly interesting to me at first. I first read about it in a section in The Official Playstation Magazine…back in 2006/07 known as PSM. They were going over all the games that we should be aware of. Well many of them failed or got cancelled, EXCEPT for Heavy Rain. I only remembered seeing one screenshot of that woman holding that revolver and "acting" for a soap opera.

I was awed by the graphics, but then said to myself – eh…it might not be that cool. 2008 comes along and I'm surfing through this awesome website and I find nothing but Heavy Rain pictures and my jaw drops in shock. I'm suddenly super interested…now BEN DUTKA tells me there's going to be more information and is going to screw me up STUDYING FOR FINALS. God thanks Ben! =)
