Final Fantasy fans have been anxiously awaiting the Blu-Ray release of "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" in North America, and now, we have a solidified release date.
In what can be considered the US launch trailer for "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete" on Blu-Ray, it has been revealed that we'll be able to nab this bad boy on June 2 (coincidentally, the first day of E3). You can see the official video at G4TV and as you can see, we're gonna get an extra 26 minutes of bonus footage! You can see some of these extra scenes in that trailer and there's also mention of a "sneak peek" at Final Fantasy XIII . No, we won't be getting that one-hour playable demo that came with the Japanese version of "Complete," but a new look at the hotly anticipated RPG is better than nothing, right? If you haven't yet watched "Advent Children," it's basically a movie sequel of sorts to FFVII, even though the observant may spot some storyline inconsistencies between the two plots. Despite this, the movie is nothing but a solid blast of CGI fun, and that final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth is well worth seeing in high-definition. Heck, it was gorgeous in standard definition!
So there you have it: June 2 is the day, so if you absolutely must have this for your collection, make sure you hit the stores early to secure a copy.
So is it just me that im the only one that imported to get the demo, but instead North America gets a hour of xIII show play
I think this is bull crap.. why aren't we getting the demo.. we also spend money on purchase products for their company. We are also consumers.. is just sad that they considerer us inferiors than Jap-gamers. I won't be buying this for sure. I'll stick with my DVD version.. THIS SUCKS……..

Square Enix shove your Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Blu-Ray where the sun don't shine. And they wonder why companies don't prosper or make real good money, because there is no EFFORT!!!
PS. Please release a remake of FF7 favorite game ever.
Your not getting a demo because it's not translated…though there is definitely more reasons then that.
"it's basically a movie sequel of sorts to FFVII, even though the observant may spot some storyline inconsistencies between the two plots."
Anyone care to elaborate? I love the game and movie, but didn't notice any story inconsistencies…

I didn't either, but I didn't watch the english version. I watched the japanese version with english text on the bottom
I didn't notice either, except for the fact that Vincent became a d*ck who wouldn't help.
Ah, World, how are you so consistently funny on a day-to-day basis? 😀

it aint easy bein cheesy

Is the movie 26 minutes longer or is there Bonus Features of 26 mins?
The movie itself has about 26~30 minutes of new footage built into it. Most of the additional footage are short scenes, some adding to fights, some adding to conversation, some are standalone. It should also be noted, some elements from the original movie are now missing entirely. So some stuff was cut to add other things in… Prime example of this (without giving any spoilers), Sephiroth puts his sword through Cloud's shoulder… This doesn't happen in the COMPLETE version though.
The audio is also redone to fit into this, so you will find some music was taken out, some new stuff added in. Infact, the ending credits vocal song was completely removed and a new one added. There's atleast 2 other examples I can think of where the music changed.
Not to sure how long the bonus feature about Denzel is, but it's probably a 20~30 minute extra as well.
Is this new directors cut worth it? Depends I suppose. The added scenes are not a make or break deal really. The only make or break here I can see is that it's in HD. If you don't own it on DVD and want to own it, get it. If you already have it on DVD, then it's really up to you on how badly you want to spend the money to see a few new scenes.
I've seen it already, Japanese with subtitles, and while I normally jump to buy movies I like, the big seller to me would have been the demo. No demo though, so I have no intention to buy it. Whatever trailer they're giving us about XIII will pop up on youtube for sure, so that's wasteful. I'm tired of being a second rate consumer for SE, especially when they've been saying how important their North American sales are. So until I get proper treatment, I'm just saying no.

its longer
Argh. I really wanted that FFXIII demo! Oh well, I'll still be buying this as long as the price isn't blown out of proportion.
Amazon has it for pre-order at $22.99 (regular $38.96.
I have it on DVD already, so I'm probably going to pass. If it had the FF XIII demo… I would pre-order it right now.
Does this version include Japanese voice overs with English subs??
Yup, actually it has: Japanese, English, & French
When you say this version do you mean the import Japanese release if so then no, it does not have English subtitles, only Japanese…

I thought he was referring to the US release. If not sorry.
Grr, I want this but I wanna put the money toward a game too, well I got a bday comin up.
to bad this movie kinda sucked
It did suck
SE had an exceptionally pathetic excuse as to why they won't give us the demo.
SE will regret not putting that demo, 30 minutes extra does not justify a purchase for me;another movie sadly added to the rental queue
I want it, 26 mins extra is alot! over a 1/4 of the movie! I dont care for the FFXIII demo, ive seen it already, i know what its like, so im happy, i just want the film in 1080p
amen
This is why i mix there name up with garbage, Sqaure-Bage. was great till they take out the demo and it's just another trash. They want to appeal to Western community and yet they do these dumb moves by dumbing down what they had in the original version WHY!??

cause they went to microsoft LMAO HAHA naw jk, they are trying to get sales because us western people dont like japanese games
I'm in the same boat Ultimadream. I can't wait to see this in full hd. I haven't watched my dvd version in well over a year in anticipation for this! Want it to be as fresh as possible. Boo about the no demo though, but I'm not sure how far along they are in translating everything. No worries though, you get what you get.
So the imported versions of Advent Children Complete have English dubs right? And the FFXIII demo as well? I want to import but $70 seems like quite a bit right now.
yes they do got an english subtitles
No they do not have English Subtitles, jeez people, get informed before speaking…
They can shove it up for all I care!
Oh STFU! Honestly you just cant please some people.
I want games and more Marvel comics movies, SE should just stick to games.
……… More… more what did you say?!
They're have been way to many comic book adaptions, im sick of them. The last good one was Sin City. What we need are more Atuers if anything.

I got the green glow already, don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry………..just kidding. You're cool, I aint hating on you or any PS3 fan.
300 wasn't bad. Well if the demo has english subs it's on!
It doesn't, that guy obviously didn't know
After obtaining a high quality MKV Of ACC I came to the conclusion that it still didn't make one lick of sense, at least to me. I still don't understand why some individuals continue to keep defending Square Enix for their questionable business practices when they haven't put out a good game in years, the last one being FFX-2 and even that's debatable! Open your eyes, they say they wouldn't put out an English demo because it wouldn't be "fair" to 360 owners while stabbing PS3 owners in the back! They talk about fairness but was it fair to all those fans that bought PS3s believing FF13 was an exclusive? How is it fair they claim to be neutral when they delay FF13 in order to port it to the 360 but did the opposite with The Last Remnant? Where is The Last Remnant? Where is Star Ocean? They talk about expanding to the west and the idiots don't realize that the fans were already there. Fans of the RPG genre don't want their games "westernized," different ideals, exotic locations and cultural differences are what make JRPGs great to begin with! Sorry about the long rant, but I respectfully refuse to drink the Kool Aid, Square Enix has lost this customer forever.
The demo will most definitely come out, but not anytime soon. I don't even believe they even have an English voice cast yet as they haven't even finished the game for japanese release. And they're not about to release a jap dub with eng subtitles on the western market 😉
Well I don't have to worry about it 🙂 since I already purchased my FF7ACC back in April 😉 If you want to see my thoughts on it go to the forum 🙂 I gave a partial hands on, lol. It's spanned to 1+ pages because I wrote more later on. The only negative to importing FF7ACC is that it didn't have English subtitles, wtf?!
legendarywofl r u talking about the movie or the demo. If u mean the movie yes it does have english, is the second setting in the movie but the demo doesnt have english subtitle
Yes the movie has english dub, but no it does not have english subtitles. I obviously would know since I have it =|
nvm your right my mistake LOL yea it does have english language but japanese subtitles LOL sorry
Lol it's no biggie =P I think I was a little irritable lol so sorry also ^^;
Do they call it "complete" because is a complete piece of S#!t? I mean how complete is it without the freaking Demo?
I will finish all the Final Fantasy games from the past on my PS3 but most likely won't touch this game if it gets gimped because of that last gen OldBox360 version…
The title is 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete',Thats the title of the film cut. its not called 'FFVII:AC & FFXIII C'.
If you dont want to get it fine,Don't. but shut up already, im sick of your ignorant moaning. Heck if you feel bitter about it get a Japanese import with the demo, but i guess you dont like FFXIII do you 😉
I'm beginning to get the impression that Ultimadream is an Xbox in disguise.
???
