As is typically the case, we experienced a big influx of quality titles towards the end of last year, which means most gamers out there didn't have the time – or money – to play them all.
Hence, it's no surprise that avid fans of the interactive hobby spend the first few months of the following year playing catch-up. And if you still haven't managed to finish off all the titles on your wish list from late last year or even early 2009, you might want to visit Best Buy this week. The retailer has announced a price cut for many of the generation's best titles on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and that includes the recently released Street Fighter IV and MLB 2K9 . You'll also find Resistance 2 and Skate 2 at a discounted price; all of these games will now have an attractive $40 tag, which is in stark contrast to the original $60 asking price. There are sure to be many other games that no longer feature the intimidating $60 cost so make sure to check the racks at Best Buy. There are bound to be a few interesting titles to consider and you won't have to make such a frightening dent in your wallet. Of course, you do have to remember that we're going to see several potential must-haves within the next three weeks or so, and that includes inFamous , Red Faction: Guerilla , and Prototype .
As usual, it all comes down to prioritizing and tough decisions. When's the last time we all had enough time and money to play everything we wanted to play? …1987? It's hard to complain about such a big positive, though. 😉
