What might Activision be bringing to E3 next month? Well, one of them is the mysterious racing project from Project Gotham Racing developer, Bizarre Creations.
As GameSpot reports, Activision will unveil Blur , the racing game that will "do for racing what Call of Duty did for shooters," so says Activision Publishing president Mike Griffith. See, Activision acquired Bizarre Creations in the hopes that the team would create something special, and it seems they've done just that; another Activision executive describes Blur as "Mario Kart meets Forza." They're talking about "real innovation" for the genre, and we can't wait to see more of this promising project. …however, even though Activision is in charge and we're all assuming that Blur will be a multiplatform release, they haven't confirmed the intended platforms just yet. Of course, Bizarre Creations was on their own when they made PGR – exclusive to Microsoft systems – so some of the 360 fans out there may want to think Blur will also be exclusive. Well, it certainly seems unlikely. Activision is arguably the biggest video game publisher on earth and they're not about to eliminate millions of potential consumers…
Anyway, we'll definitely keep an eye on Blur when it receives its official unveiling at E3. Here's hoping it truly is as "innovative" and engaging as Activision claims it is!
I thought Bizarre hated Microsoft as a Publisher so they left. I was praying for Project Gotham Racing 5 to come over to PS3. Let's hope this is still good. Project Gotham Racing is one game that i would like to give a try, but no Xbox.
Will this also rejuvenate the dieing Racing genre? XD
*Deleated* It double posted lol

I thought Gran Turismo did what COD did a long time ago, four times over? lulz
Yes! Lol!

Most probably Blur is something Microsoft wants to use to compete against the PS3's GT5.
…
They got no chance.
Blur, Grid, Dirt, Pure
Are marketing people getting lazy with these very simplistic names?
I hope the next racing game to sweep the world is called "Fast". See it takes genious to come up with these things.
"Break"; "Fluid"; "Grease"…
I am sure it will continue!

They just realize that "Gran Turismo" is the best name for a race game out there.
"Need for Speed" is not a bad name either, just bad games.
I hope NFS:Shift can remedy this but with such short dev time I doubt it.
I think the next best Racing game will be called:
Racing Cars
Scratch that, just:
Race
